Gao Ran was speechless in astonishment. Three seconds later, he snapped back to his senses and closed the menu, saying, "Hurry! Tell me who the murderer is. The mysterious killer has almost driven me crazy… People began to circulate rumors about vampires. This morning, I was berated by my boss at the conference. If I can't find this killer, I think I'll be removed from the position of bureau chief…" 

Gao Ran spent almost all of his time on this case. He dug into lots of documents and investigated many people but hasn't gotten a single clue.

Hearing Qin Chu say he knew who the killer was, Gao Ran felt he finally found the lifesaver.

"Sit down. I'll explain it to you slowly."

Excited, Gao Ran sat next to Qin Chu, totally forgetting the copper hot pot before them.

Qin Chu told Gao Ran all the details about Jing De and the things Bella had seen and heard in their community.

Gao Ran was stunned.

"Chu, now that you mention it, I remember that the community sounded familiar to me. Yeah, it's Sky Blessing Court, the community your mother-in-law lives in, that reported missing children… If you're right, then the Jing De coming back from the dead is a horrible person. He's so cruel as to hurt even children…

"Yeah… I've always thought he's up to no good, so I asked Bella to watch him… The problem is that we don't have any evidence. You cops need evidence to catch him, right?"

"Yeah. But it doesn't matter. If he did it, he must have left some traces behind. I'll get people to investigate him now… We'll get information about the places he went to, all the video surveillance records in their community, his phone call record, and the people he saw… I'll see if he has any conflicts or arguments with the parents of the missing children."

"If I'm right, you won't find any such information," Qin Chu said casually.

"Why not?"

"Jing De has anti-surveillance abilities… When he appeared in the streets in broad light, no cameras caught his image. So, you'll get nothing from the video surveillance system."

"Do you mean we can't catch him? He'll get away with it?"

Gao Ran was so furious that he almost slammed his hand on the table and cursed.

Having worked as a cop for years, he could guess what had happened to those missing children. Usually the kidnappers would keep the hostages alive to get ransom, otherwise the missing children were mostly found dead. 

As a father, Gao Ran had a sense of duty and would try his best to catch the psycho even at the risk of being wounded in the process.

When he heard Qin Chu say they would have no evidence to arrest the suspect, he was burning with rage.

"No. I'm here to come up with a plan with you to arrest him. The process will be dangerous, though. From his methods of kidnapping the children, Jing De must have some abilities. We must plan our moves carefully."

"Chu, if he did it, do you think the missing children are alive?" Gao Ran asked worriedly.
