Huo Mian hated to see Lin Ya. She thought she'd never forgive Lin Ya for imprisoning her here and sending a clone to wreck her home.

"Miss Mian, I hope you will go. Don't forget Miss Yan is still in the ice coffin."

Angrily, Huo Mian looked up at Messiah with chilly eyes.

"Messiah, are you threatening me?"

"No, I'm not threatening you, Miss Mian. I was stating the fact… The Master won't show mercy to Miss Yan. You know it better than anyone else."

Huo Mian was angry but had to admit that Messiah was right. She couldn't find words to deny it.

Finally, without a word, she followed Messiah toward the big hall which she had come to dislike intensely.

Lin Ya didn't wear her queen clothes. Oddly, when she wore ordinary clothes, she looked like a good mother.

"Mian, here you are."

Lin Ya smiled at her warmly.

Huo Mian didn't reply.

"Leave us."

Lin Ya sent all the maids out of the room.

"Yes, Master."

After Messiah led all the other maids out of the hall, only Lin Ya and Huo Mian stood in it.

Huo Mian felt cold, maybe because the hall was too big or that she felt empty inside.

"Mian, did you like the dumplings? Is the food in this place to your taste?"

"Do you think I have an appetite for food?" Huo Mian looked at her.

Even though Messiah had warned her not to anger Lin Ya and that the Master was so scary that even Leila was as obedient as a puppy before her, Huo Mian had challenged Lin Ya several times and even berated her severely.

Despite her bad attitude, Lin Ya had never got angry with her, probably because Huo Mian was her biological daughter.
