She was still in her prime, wearing a red Cheongsam with embroidery. She wore it well as she was slim and her body was sexy. She also wore white fox fur to show off her dignified identity.2

"Happy birthday, Chuan!" Tang Chuan's third uncle felt a bit guilty for stealing Tang Chuan's love of his life from him so he always felt too guilty to talk to Tang Chuan's father.

Even when he had to do business with Tang Chuan's father, he would simply greet him and have no further conversations. He wouldn't go to family gatherings either because he felt it would be very awkward.

"You're here, Third Uncle!" Tang Chuan smiled and greeted them.

"I was nearby for business and I heard you were having your birthday party here so I stopped by. I know you have a liking for Porsches so here you go. Although it's not the most expensive Porsche, it is the newest one, so I hope you like it." His third uncle handed Tang Chuan a Porsche car key. 

Tang Chuan looked down and said with a smile, "You didn't have to. We're family so this is unnecessary. I used to like Porsche but now I'm indifferent towards the brand. I've matured so my taste for cars have changed. You can just leave this car for your wife but I thank you for the thought."

Tang Chuan intentionally glanced over at Jin Ying with a smile.

Tang Weiping and his wife looked at each other; they did not expect Tang Chuan to reject their gift so resolutely.

"Don't just stand there… Come in and sit down…" Tang Chuan signaled that he welcomed them.

The performances were wrapping up and dinner had started. Dinner was buffet style and the atmosphere at the party was quite good right now.

All the guests were drinking wine and champagne and socializing with their friends. 

Tang Wenping went over to his family table where Tang Chuan's other uncles were.

Tang Chuan was feeling a bit down so he hid himself in a corner with a glass of wine in his hand.

He was simply zoning out… After all these years, his hatred for his third uncle had receded.

However, each time he saw Jin Ying, emotions would overflow. It wasn't that he still loved her, it was simply because each time he saw her, he would recall the old times. All those memories, good and bad, inundated him.

Tang Chuan did not like this feeling.

"Chuan…" Jin Ying suddenly appeared behind Tang Chuan.

Tang Chuan looked back with a smile and said, "Aunt, how are you?"

"Happy birthday, Chuan…" Jin Ying raised her glass and took a sip.

"Thank you, Aunt… Cheers." Tang Chuan drank the whole glass of wine and said, "You can drink any amount you wish…"

"Chuan, I might get a divorce with your third uncle…" Jin Ying said with a hint of sadness behind her eyes.

"Really? Then congratulations…" Tang Chuan smiled maliciously. 

Jin Ying showed signs of shock. Then she looked slightly sad. It might've been because she didn't expect such a response from Tang Chuan.

"I know you hate me. I've brought all this upon myself. Your third uncle has many lovers and I'm sick of it… The child stays with him but he will give me a lot of money…" Jin Ying said slowly.

"So?" Tang Chuan looked at her as if she was saying something funny.

"I don't know what to do next… I might go abroad for a bit after the divorce is official… I'll figure out what to do when I come back from my vacation. Chuan… I want to tell you that I never forgot…" 

Before Jin Ying could finish her sentence, Qin Ning walked over, held onto Tang Chuan's arm, and said, "Honey, what are you doing here?"

Happiness hits you when you least expect it. Tang Chuan was first surprised but quickly recovered. He immediately said with a smile, "It's too crowded in there so I came here to get some peace."
