After a long night, both Huo Mian and Qin Chu were exhausted. Especially Qin Chu, because he did not enjoy the atmosphere in the hospital.1

It reminded him of the dark times he spent in rehabilitation at a hospital abroad for his leg injury a few years ago. He wanted to leave the hospital as soon as possible.

"I want to go home… I don't like it here…" Qin Chu didn't say much but his desire was well conveyed.

"Okay."

Huo Mian thought about the situation and knew that Qin Chu was in okay condition to go home. She also didn't want to argue with him, so in the end, she nodded. Then, Qin Chu used all his might to get up and walk to the patient room next door.

He picked Little Bean up from the bed.

Huo Mian held onto Pudding's hand and the family left the hospital together.

Huo Mian walked behind Qin Chu; she saw how strong her husband was.

He was willing to sacrifice everything for his daughter. Now, he was holding onto his child even though his body was weak. Right now, she saw a loving father in front of her. 

When Su Yu came back to the hospital with the congee he went out to buy, he saw Huo Mian's family get into the car.

Just when Su Yu wanted to call out Huo Mian's name and hand the congee to Pudding, he stopped himself.

In the end, Su Yu watched as Huo Mian and her family left South Side.

Su Yu quietly went back to his company with the congee in his hands.

- At South Hill Manor -

It was a long night and Pudding was now too exhausted. Little Bean had recovered a bit but she still wasn't looking well.

Huo Mian had taken the prescribed medicine home from the hospital. She gave Little Bean a needle shot. Then, Huo Mian's mother took care of the twins.

Qin Chu and Huo Mian were in the upstairs living room, sitting on the couch. The atmosphere in that room seemed rather serious.

"Sis, Brother-in-Law… If there's nothing else, I'm going to head to work."

When Zhixin saw Qin Chu and Little Bean home, he was relieved. 

"Okay. Thanks for taking care of the company these past few days. If you can't make a decision yourself, get advice from Bella and Yang. If it's an important decision, ask me or Chu. But I want your Brother-in-Law to get some rest, so it'd be better if you don't bother him too often," Huo Mian explained.

"I know, Sis, I'm going to head off then…" Then, Zhixin left the house. 

Huo Mian carefully sanitized Qin Chu's wounds on his hand. 

"Honey, are you blaming me?" Qin Chu asked softly.

Huo Mian paused and looked up. "Blame you for what?"

"Blaming me for being too impulsive. I could have had someone else do it but I took it upon myself. Now I got hurt and you have to worry about me too…"

"If I said I blame you, would you still do it?" Huo Mian asked calmly. 

"Yeah, I probably will do it all over again…" Qin Chu was firm on his stance.

Huo Mian nodded. She lightly tapped Qin Chu's wounds with her alcohol scrubs and said, "There's no use blaming you. I know you will take on that responsibility. When you knew Little Bean was hurt, you suppressed your anger up till the point you found Jian Tong was the one to blame. You could no longer suppress your anger and you exploded. We are just calmer than most people but at the end of the day, we too are just humans. We have our emotions and when the ones we love get hurt, we will also get angry. When we are very angry, we too will take it upon ourselves to deal with the problem… Only then will we feel relief. It was taking revenge for our daughter yesterday and I understand how you felt. If it were me, I probably would have done the same. Remember when I was so audacious that I hit Huo Siqian's car? It's the same thing you did. Although other people may think we were crazy or immature, or it didn't seem like something Qin Chu would do, I want you to know that I still agree with your actions. I understand that the moment you drove into her, you were just a father trying to take revenge for his hurt child…" Huo Mian's words had deeply moved Qin Chu.

Qin Chu pulled Huo Mian into his arms.

She was sitting in his lap and he softly whispered in her ears, "You know me so well…" Then, he lightly kissed her long, black hair.

"Stop… We're in the living room. There's a lot of people here..." Huo Mian blushed.
