Lu Sheng lifted her head and looked at the sky. It was past 3 pm, and dinner was almost ready.

"There's no need for that," she rejected. "I still have two children at home who have not eaten yet. Next time."

"Ah Sheng, you're late." Aunt Yu smiled. "Your sister-in-law has just finished cooking. Hurry up and sit down with us to eat."

"Why don't I see Brother Liang and Sister-in-law?"

Besides Aunt Yu and Liang Yuan, only her two children were at the table.

"It might rain the next few days. Your Brother Liang went to drain the water and has yet to return. Your sister-in-law went to call him. They should be back soon."

Lu Sheng glanced at the food on the table and realized that it was still full.

Aunt Yu only placed some food into the three children's bowls. Her bowl was filled with plain porridge.

Lu Sheng smiled and stood up. She patted the backs of her two children before returning home.

She took another plate and placed the ten meat buns she bought on it before carrying them to her neighbor.

When she arrived, Liang Ping and Mdm Chen had just washed their hands.

"Ah Sheng is here!"

Lu Sheng placed the items on the table and smiled. "Sister-in-law, Brother Liang, sorry for disturbing you."

"Oh!" Aunt Yu frowned. "You've already brought over the meat buns. Why did you bring over the beef jerky as well? How expensive is it? You don't know how much my heart aches."

"Good things should be shared."
