Soon, the news spread to the entire college campus, and the classes were dismissed. The students went home, and a police case was filed.2

Leon waited six hours for the guard to come out after his duty. However, as he was considered the first person to find both bodies, the police and detectives asked him questions.

Leon was hiding in the store on the opposite side of the street of the university, but the store owner got angry and asked Leon to leave. Leon couldn't afford to do anything to the store owner as the police were surveying the area, so he quietly left and went to the cafe located at some distance from the university. He chose a seat from where he could easily see the people leaving and entering the main gate.

He waited for two more hours and drank over 20 cups of tea in frustration. He had planned to give the guard a painless death, but now he was going to take out all his frustration on him.

Of course, he had no need to kill the guard anymore as the police had already taken his testimony, and he had said everything he knew. However, Leon still wanted to kill him because he had already decided to do so. He never crossed or cut any name from his 'to-kill' list, even when there was no need to kill them.

After waiting for a few more minutes, the guard finally finished his duty and left the university on his motorcycle. Leon paid the bill and left the cafe.

He followed the guard from the shadows and noticed that he wasn't going to get a chance to kill him anytime soon. So, Leon took out his mask from his bag and wore it.

It would have looked strange if someone was wearing a creepy mask on the street during the night. However, Halloween was two weeks away, so quite a few people were wearing masks for fun. There were also some shops and stalls where the masks were being sold, so it was nothing unusual.

After following the guard for about ten minutes, the guard increased his speed as the streets weren't busy anymore. Leon was able to keep up with him thanks to his superhuman abilities. However, he hadn't eaten anything since morning, so he was already feeling tired, but that didn't stop him from following the guard.

After five minutes, the guard drove into the colony where the middle-class people lived. Leon thought the guard had finally reached home, but there was something else going on.

When he peeked from the house's window, Leon saw the guard was beating his wife and son with a belt.

'I guess you really shouldn't judge people by their appearance,' Leon muttered. He took out his phone and recorded everything to use it in the future.

Leon searched for a way to enter the house by taking a stroll around the area. He was already catching attention from the neighboring house, so he didn't want to catch more attention. Anyone would find it weird if a masked man wandered around someone's house like that. He didn't want to make people suspicious by breaking into the house, so he decided to take another approach.

He got in the backyard, where there were no houses to look at, and climbed on the second floor. Then, he broke the window without making a noise by pushing the wood part and dissembling the lock of the window with brute force.

He stealthily entered the house and made his way downstairs. The guard was so immersed in beating his wife and son that he didn't even see Leon.

Leon walked to the couch and sat there to watch the guard beating his wife and son. Then, he clapped his hands to make his presence known.

"Good going," he said.

After hearing Leon's sinister voice under the mask, the guard jolted in surprise and aimed his belt at Leon. "Who are you?! How did you get in here?!" he yelled.

"I am just your friendly neighborhood secret killer. And I am here to give you your reward."

"What reward?" the guard asked with a curious look on his face.

"Remember the kid that died in the pool at the place you work at?"

The guard nodded in reply.

"And the guard who you found dead in the laboratory. I know you killed both of them," Leon asserted.

"What nonsense are you spouting?!" The guard ran at Leon and tried to whip his belt. However, Leon caught the belt and kicked the guard.

The guard hit the wall beside his wife and son and fell to the floor. Leon held the belt from both sides to choke the guard, but upon seeing the horrified expression on his wife and son's face, he changed his mind.

"Let's try something new….." He uttered as he grabbed the son.
