"Taxis aren't safe. I've missed Ying Ying too, so let me drive you there." His mother's words didn't fool Zhou Zheng, so he insisted.

Qiao Zijin saw the Zhou family picking her up as she exited the airport. For a brief moment, she had the illusion that she was still part of the Zhou family.

Of course, her heart was emptied when Zhou Zheng's mother took her daughter from her hands. The only emotions she had for Chen Jun was a fling of intrigue that arose from her desires as a teenager. Chen Jun's family was ordinary, so she didn't quite fancy him.

When I'm done with my work, I will take Ying Ying to the capital. I'm sure she will receive a better education there. I'm sure you will support me, right?"

Not taking her back into the Zhou family?

Fine.

When she had dealt with Qiao Nan, she would have everything she ever wanted. Even if the Zhou family begged for her to return, she would not agree to it. If the elders wished to visit Ying Ying, they would have to go to the capital.

Zhou Zheng's mother smiled. "That sounds great. You are Ying Ying's mother, and we would love it if you can give her a better life. It's getting late. We will head back first. Call us after you've settled things in the capital. We will send Ying Ying to you when the time comes, so don't trouble yourself making your way here."
