When Chen Yi reached the lawn, two black-suited, big men approached her. "Madam, we have been instructed by Young Master to accompany you all the time." They bowed deeply.1

Chen Yi: "..." Why? She took a deep breath. "Is there is a specific reason?"

The two bodyguards looked at each other, then looked back at Chen Yi. "Young Master is worried about your safety. He fears there may be some people who intend to harm you."

But Chen Yi could only let them tag along. Not only because there was no other way to persuade Li Luxian but she herself wanted to ensure her safety.

Next, she wanted to hire a cab but it turned out that cabs didn't run in this area. Being left with no choice, she had to borrow a driver and a car from their mansion. That movie was a mega project and having losses in it would cause a significant blow on his assets. He was stressed. "Why are you looking at me like this? What favor you want?"

Chen Ying looked down as if she was feeling guilty. "I-I don't want to say bad about her."

"Is it Chen Yi again?" Fu Jianguo's voice grew colder. Images of that night flashed through his mind. He still recalled how she had shamelessly kissed a stranger right in front of his eyes. "You know that she doesn't deserve your time. Why are you torturing yourself for her cause? Stop being ridiculous." Fu Jianguo's voice was sharp. Ever since that night, he would always get angry whenever Chen Yi's name was brought up.

Chen Ying shuddered. She gritted her teeth. The water was over her head. She must get rid of that Chen Yi now even if she offended Fu Jianguo for the purpose. Or Chen Yi might harm her in the future. "She had visited your mother this morning." Chen Ying quietly said.

"What do you mean? Why did she visit my mother?" Fu Jianguo was infuriated.

"I-I don't exactly know but when mother looked upset. I went to check on her. She was very angry at me. She didn't even tell me what Chen Yi told her." Chen Ying ducked her face down. To provoke Fu Jianguo, she further said: "I have even heard from mother that she had been visiting Xiao Liling frequently in the hospital."

"That bi*tch wouldn't stop chasing me, would she?" Fu Jianguo was ready to throw things away. He scoffed. "So that all 'I have gotten over you and I hate you rant' was just an act. She was just trying to look good in my eyes. Just a few days and she is back at being the drab she always was."

Chen Ying was both happy and relieved to know that Fu Jianguo still hated her. "I don't know what lies she had told mother. I think we should ask her. So that we can clarify the misunderstanding. I don't like it when your mother treats me like this."

"My mother is still brainwashed by her. She would never tell us." Fu Jianguo gave it a thought. "We should rather ask a servent or someone."

Hearing this, Chen Ying's eyes flashed with something. "Why don't we call Yang Mi? She always stays with your mother. Besides, she is aware of Chen Yi nature so she would help us."

"As you see fit." Fu Jianguo shrugged.

Ever since that night Chen Yi had insulted him, he had been feeling down. But today, having heard that Chen Yi was still chasing around his family, he felt good about himself.
