The family of five sat across the huge dining table and enjoyed the sumptuous dinner prepared by Chen Yi and Li Shanguaan.0

"Mother, how do I feel that today's dishes are even better than previous times you cooked for us all?" Li Yuan said wolfing down succulent braised pork. 

"Don't speak with food in your mouth!' Li Shanguaan berated. After glaring at her son and being satisfied with his manners, she faced Chen Yi with all smiles.

Li Yuan felt his heart ache at the disparity. He could only suppress his jealousy with the sumptuous dinner.

"Here, Yi'er eat more. After all, if not for you how could I have managed to finish cooking all these things in time?" She continued putting food into Chen Yi's place.

With the absence of grandfather Li, the atmosphere was much more relaxed. Also, with the assortment of all sorts of delicious food, everyone's appetite was enhanced and they ate to their fill.

For once, Chen Yi, who was a foodie and never said no to delicious food felt like crying. The amount of food Li Shanguaan had stocked on her plate...was just too much!

"Mother, this is too much. I-How can I finish this all?" She helplessly said.

"Rubbish! After this, you still have to try three more dishes! Or otherwise, your mother-in-law would feel offended." Li Shanguaan openly blackmailed.

Chen Yi could not say anything to this. She looked at Li Luxian hoping for help from his side. However, she was surprised to see his gloomy expressions.

Why was he staring at her plate like this?

How could Chen Yi have known, every time Li Shangyaan put food in her plate, Li Luxian felt very depressed. He was supposed to be one putting food on her plate!

Look at his father, Li Guang! Isn't he putting food on his mother's plate? 

Then why must he be deprived of this basic marital right?!

"Brother, you can feed sister-in-law all you want in the future. Why must to keep glaring at her plate like this? Sister-in-law might think you don't want her to eat.", said Li Yuan cheekily.

Actually, everyone excluding Li Shanguaan had observed how Li Luxian kept on glaring at Chen Yi's plate.

Li Luxian face darkened. "Do you want to repeat what happened today?"

Li Yuan shuddered. "N-No, I was at fault! Sorry!" he immediately ducked down his head as if wanting to disappear.

Ahh! How could he forget? His brother had ordered him to accompany Wang Hualing while she stayed in the waiting room in the Li Empire Complex.

That time...was a nightmare!

Wang Hualing had totally gone crazy! Continuously being forced to placate her, Li Yuan felt like dying!

Only now did he understand why his brother labeled her as 'eccentric'.

She was indeed...obsessive.

"Huh? What did you make him do?" Chen Yi was curious after observing Li Yuan shuddering.

"Don't mind him. He is always being dramatic." Li Guang's voice came from the front seat.

Chen Yi nodded. "Alright." And she continued her meal. During the time, she had noticed that Li Guang had gone soft on her. The previous time they met, he had never taken the initiative to talk to her. She had no idea what prompted this change.

But anyway...it was a good thing. 

After finishing up their dinner, full and satisfied with the quality they headed for their rooms. Once they were inside the room, Li Luxian immediately engulfed Chen Yi in his arms. Sniffing her fragrant hair, he whispered. "I missed my wife."

Chen Yi: "..."

They had not been separated for more than half a day. She sighed but didn't try to push him off. Being embraced within his arms, she found herself in the bliss of warm comfort.

"Did you like my surprise?" He whispered into her ear.

Chen Yi's lips curled up into a smile. "Very much."

"So how are you going to pay me back, wife?"

Chen Yi: "..."

"Now, now, don't make that face. Favors don't come for free. You have to make payments."

"Then what 'payment' President Li wants?" She sarcastically asked.

"Hmm, a dangerous question to ask me." He hummed.

Chen Yi pushed him away and jumped into the bed. "Let me sleep. I am tired." She said, monopolizing the blanket.

But Li Luxian was not yet done with her. After a day of work at the office, he had missed her dearly. He himself could not understand why it was so. But he could not get the thought of her out of his head. It was as if someone had cast a spell upon his.

However, it was not a bad spell. Because this spell had a beautiful name...called love.

"Stop it!" Chen Yi complained when Li Luxian fingers played with her hair and gently massaged her head.

"Why, don't you like it."

"I like it, but..." She bit her lip. "I don't want to get used to it."

"Why not?"

"Isn't it obvious why not?" Chen Yi's voice broke a little. Perhaps, it was again those emotions working up from her time during her fight with her Aunt. But she felt very emotional.

In an instant, she felt herself being engulfed into the warmth of a hug. All the pains and emotional distress she felt a moment earlier vanished just like that.

"Then, you must get used to it quickly. Because I have made up my mind. If there is anyone I am going to accompany for the rest of my life then it is you." He said the sincerity in his tone was unquestionable.

Chen Yi felt as if all the burdens had been lifted from her shoulders. She felt free and floating among clouds. Uncontrollably, her lips curled up into a smile. "Li Luxian... Thank you."

"You are wrong. I should be the one thanking you." He said. A moment later, he felt her breathing stabilized. She had fallen asleep. A smile still covering her beautiful face. Li Luxian managed to suppress his urge to kiss her with a great amount of self-control

After all, she must have been exhausted today. He wanted her to rest comfortably.

"I should be the one thanking you for bringing color to my world." He whispered before taking one last yearning look at her face and turning off the lamp.
