Some people were a bit slow to move, and were sent flying by the two maidens' slaps. All this while, he had been the one telling people to clear the way, so having somebody say it to him was definitely a first.

"If you all don't want to die, then scram!" The young maiden drew her sword. Despite how obedient and adorable she looked, the moment she drew her sword, her face was full of hostility.

"Hmph!" Suddenly, a bright light appeared and a golden whip that looked like a snake lashed at the sword. The young maiden's hand trembled, and before she could grip the sword tightly, the golden whip reared back as if it was alive, snatching the sword from her hand and impaling it into the earthen wall opposite them.

Lan Xinyu had never been a charitable person. During these past few days, she had been bullied by Ling Chuxi in the name of learning and promotion, and she was brimming with frustration. There wasn't much hope in bullying Ling Chuxi, so she would have to settle for bullying others.

The young maiden's fingers were still trembling as she looked at the sword hilt outside the wall, stunned. 

"Didn't you say scram? Why aren't you disappearing?" Lan Xinyu's golden whip lashed out again, and the young maiden only heard a crisp snapping sound beside her ear. A strong wind swept past her face, and a lock of her hair fluttered to the ground. The young maiden stumbled back in shock, almost falling to the ground.
