"I trust you enough," Li Ming said. "I want you to join me as the executive director for team two. I gave your mentor a head's up already."

Mo Liuxi paused to think before saying, "I want to focus on my studies for now."

"You'll learn more in the field than in school. Don't worry, you can come back after you're done with your scenes," Li Ming said. "I'm getting old. I get tired easily when I shoot outdoor scenes in difficult terrains. I can't handle it. I might not even make movies anymore. I want to do everything right from now on. Although you're young, you have a sharp sense of the classical cinematography. If you want to make a mark in the industry, this is a good opportunity to do so. Although you're well-known overseas, the mainland landscape is slightly different. Don't worry, you have full authority over which direction you want to take. Although I am the main director, I won't interfere with your work."

Mo Liuxi paused for a while before agreeing. "How's the casting coming along?"

"You can take a look at the list." Li Ming handed over a document,

Mo Liuxi scanned through the names quickly. The male lead was fine. He was someone of caliber and skill, but the female lead… 

"Why did you cast Ji Nuanyi?" he asked. "She's too young, and her acting…"

"She had potential," Li Ming said. "She is the most hardworking amongst young actresses nowadays. She's got a good work ethic, and she's popular. She has a strong fan base. Apart from her, we would be looking at older, more well-established actresses. I was hoping to attract a younger crowd if we cast her. She came to look for me herself and expressed her sincerity to work on this project. I have a good impression of her."

Mo Liuxi didn't say anything else. He was a little stunned when he saw the list of singers. The final artist was unconfirmed, but Yan Su's name appeared on the shortlist. 

"Singers…"

"We haven't decided yet. They all have their own strengths," Li Ming said. "I asked them to write a song. I will choose the winner based on the lyrics they submit. It has to be something that fits the theme of the film."

"Yan Su just got popular, and she's very young," Mo Liuxi said. He didn't expect himself to comment on the matter. 

"I've listened to her songs before. She's got talent. We can give it a shot, and she's cheap." Li Ming was laughing like a cunning fox.
