At eight o'clock, Yan Su was set to launch the premiere with a performance of the theme song.1

Since it was too awkward to stay in the room with the others, she left early to prepare for her performance.

When it was time, everyone started streaming in.

Mo Liuxi was sitting below the stage, watching her. Yan Su was acting more and more like a superstar. There were lots of people present, from fans and seniors in the industry, and yet she was able to interact freely and gracefully with the audience. No wonder he liked her so much.

This woman was his. He looked over at Shi Xiang mockingly. Shi Xiang sensed his gaze immediately and the two of them made eye contact. He glared at Mo Liuxi.

Mo Liuxi smirked at him before turning his attention back to Yan Su.

After Yan Su had finished her performance, everyone went up on stage.

Shi Xiang and Mo Liuxi walked up together. Shi Xiang quietly whispered to him, "I get it that you are together with Yan Su. That's enough of that, whatever you're trying to do."

"Enough?" Mo Liuxi laughed. "What do you mean enough? Shi Xiang, come on. She is my woman for the rest of her life. You better keep your distance from her in the future."

Shi Xiang was enraged. If it were not for that fateful night, he would never have given up on Yan Su. Now that the two of them were out of the question, why must Mo Liuxi continue sprinkling salt on his wounds? "Mo Liuxi, please don't go on any further."

He walked onto the stage after that.

The film was screened at 9:30 PM.

It was the first screening in China, and it meant a lot to everyone present. Although they had all watched it before, they were still happy to watch it again with all of their fans.

Yan Su and Mo Liuxi were seated together. The theater was dark and once the lights were turned down, Mo Liuxi reached over for her hand swiftly.

"What did you say to Shi Xiang just now?" said Yan Su as she leaned towards him.

"It's between men," Mo Liuxi said with a straight face.

Yan Su frowned. "Liuxi, stop trying to aggravate him."

To be honest, she felt sorry for Shi Xiang; Mo Liuxi didn't realize that. He was like a porcupine in defense. "Why? You feel bad for him?"

"Don't be lame." Yan Su decided to focus on the film. It seemed like Mo Liuxi was only going to get provoked if she continued talking about it.

She had given him everything — they even had a child together. Why must he get so sensitive about things like that?

Mo Liuxi grunted as he crossed his legs.

Some time had passed as the movie played on.

At 11:30 PM, the film ended and Lu Tao was the first to say, "Susu, didn't you say that you were going to treat us all out to supper?"

"Of course, I didn't forget about my promise. You can make the reservations and we'll all drive over later," Yan Su said, smiling.

"I'll pass. I just came back from the States yesterday and I didn't get any rest on the plane. I need to catch up on some sleep," Shi Xiang said tiredly.

"Alright, rest well then." Yan Su knew that Mo Liuxi would continue to try to trigger him and decided it was best not to ask him to stay. The three of them were always awkward around each other anyway.

The rest of the crew knew about Yan Su and Shi Xiang's past, so nobody forced Shi Xiang to stay.

Supper in Guangzhou was delicious. It was a seaside city and there was plenty of seafood options. The weather was nice and chilly but not too cold either. Everyone was seated at the street store as they ordered a couple of beers, Australian abalone, salt and pepper shrimp, crabs, and Teppanyaki beef tongue. Ji Nuanyi and Li Ming went all out and ordered the most food.

Mo Liuxi reminded the two of them, "Be careful not to get too fat… or just high blood pressure."

Ji Nuanyi grinned and said, "I love free food! I love saving my own money and watching my bank account numbers climb higher and higher. Anyone else feel the same way?"
