411: KILL HIM!

KILL HIM!

A Snake shifter was so rare to encounter, and most of them didn't live together with their own kind. They were of nomadic entity.  2

And one more reason why there were not many of their kind left alive was because they were cannibalistic and wouldn't even bother to eat their own kind. 

"Don't interfere, we have enough troubles already." Though her voice was calm and nonchalant, her tone was deeply laced with warning. 

Of course, Kace didn't want to interfere as well, but…

The car didn't move as Kace continued to stare at the side- view mirror as the huge man turned into a disgusting and slimy looking creature.

The sand colored hair on his head had disappeared completely along with his eyebrows. His skin now was littered with something which looked like scales. They were in the color of light green.

The pupil of his eye took shape of a snake and his fangs were very sharp like razor blades.

The poor little girl was grabbed by her neck and her feet were now dangling a meter high from the ground. She tried to kick and escape from her attacker, yet without a stable footing, she lost the momentum.

The girl tried to shift, but apparently she couldn't do it, whether it was because the hold around her neck, or because it was still new for her.

Young shifters like her, who just shifted into their beast form, sometimes needed to concentrate more to get into the shape, so their body could accommodate to their beast form.

But, as they grew old, the transformation would be as easy as breathing. 

Apparently, that was the same in the girl's case. She failed to shift and would die anytime soon. 

"Kace." Serefina warned him again in a deep voice, because she saw that look in his blue eyes. And when she heard a low growl from his chest, she knew what kind of scene she would see next. 

Just like how the witch predicted, Kace stormed out of the car and shifted into his massive white lycan once his feet touched the ground.

Serefina could only sigh exasperatedly before rolling her eyes at Kace's decision. 

Didn't he think about his mate's safety? Why did he have to save someone insignificant to them which would eventually bring more trouble?! Was he crazy!? They have to get out of this place as soon as possible and here Kace was, trying to save the poor little girl!

Serefina groaned. "D*mn you lycan!" She unbuckled the strap on the baby and took her as they got out of the car. Hope was staring at the witch and cooed softly. "Your mate is annoying, you know?!Well, you also."

In the open area of parking lot, the snake shifter had managed to bring out an eerie cracking sound from the neck of the poor little girl.

He didn't kill her straight away as he seemed to enjoy torturing his prey while taking in the despair in those brown eyes. 

The voice of the girl, asking for help, was caught in her throat as her head throbbed painfully.

The snake shifter ran his forked tongue along his bottom lip as his slanted pupils dilated in delight by the anguished look that smeared the girl's expression. 

However, before he could turn everything more satisfying for him, the white lycan snarled and pounced onto him. 

Forcing the snake shifter to release his prey.

Both of them fell to the ground, but with the white lycan on top of him, he had an advantageous position to attack him ruthlessly. 

The white lycan managed to wound him. He was bleeding from several places and looked worse for wear.

However, not long after, in his defense the creature succeeded to snap at the white lycan and sunk his teeth on the beast's shoulder.

The beast roared in pain and tried to get away from the snake by throwing heavy punches at the side of his face. 

Yet, the creature didn't even bother to dodge and ignored the blows as he kept his teeth locked, without any intention of releasing it any soon. 

Now, blood was pouring down from the white lycan's shoulder and coated his pure white fur as they continued to fight. 

Regardless of what the beast did, the teeth of the creature were still deep seated in his shoulder. 

'Kill him, you idiot!'

In the midst of all of this, Serefina's voice rang in his ears, though the witch was still standing several meters away from the battle. 

Meanwhile, the girl finally regained her consciousness and tried to sit down. Her head and neck very sore because of what the snake shifter had done earlier. 

She rubbed her aching neck and skimmed her surroundings until her eyes fell on the battle not far from her. 

The girl crawled back to avoid getting entangled in that vicious battle. In her eyes, the white Lycan was in trouble, because he couldn't move his shoulder and limped as the snake shifter pushed him down to the ground. 

The slithery creature had the upper hand now. 

This time, the white lycan spread his paw as his razor like claws elongated and he clawed the side of his attacker's head.

That action caused the shifter to lose a huge chunk of his face as blood streamed down his wounded head, but he didn't die yet. 

The shifter roared and growled in anguish when the pain seemed unbearable, but was still alive.

The gruesome scene made the girl turn her head away after covering her face with both of her hands. Her young heart was not strong enough to see what would happen next. 

The blue eyes of the white lycan shone brightly and widened at the sight. 

Just then, something bright flashed in the beast eyes and cut the neck of the snake shifter swiftly, in the next second, its head had rolled on the ground. 

He died.

The most effective way to kill a snake was cutting off its head. 

But, this wasn't the beast's doing. Someone else did it, and when he turned his head, he saw Serefina, holding baby Hope in her arms.

And once again, her voice rang in Kace's head. 'I told you to kill him'. Her voice was very stern and annoyed.
