SHE IS MY WOMAN

Kaz was taken aback by the animosity Iris displayed. She didn't say anything earlier and he thought, because she couldn't understand the conversation or because of her soft nature, she rarely spoke up. 

However, seeing how she was seething right now made Kaz flinched. For a moment, he was afraid of her. 

Even Hanna was surprised her kind- hearted missy could be this fierce, but she was also happy, since she became so brave to stand up for herself. 

"Lu- luna Iris," Kaz stuttered, but then he cleared his throat and straightened his back, as if he was trying to get his control again. "Luna, the alpha will be so mad if he knew that you entered his room without permission, let alone sleep there."

It was well known that Cane hated it to have someone else in his bedroom, even Aria was not allowed to sleep there after their intimate moment, more so Iris. In their eyes, the two of them were being together because of the circumstances that forced them. 

At this point, Iris had entered the bedroom and didn't want to be bothered by the old steward, because she was so tired and she didn't have the energy to bicker. There were a lot in her mind. 

On the other hand, Hanna stood in front of the door, facing Kaz. 

"Why not? They have been sleeping together during their time in the capital city," Hanna stated that arrogantly and took the satisfaction to see the shock on Kaz's expression. The man tried to wrap his head around that statement. 

However, what came from his mouth was something so hurtful. 

"In that case, why she is not pregnant yet?" Kaz mumbled, but it was clear enough for Hanna to hear, which made her snarled at him. "If they were sleeping together so often, she should have been pregnant by now."

Hanna was seeing red at this point. "Because my missy is not so cheap to trick the alpha to get herself pregnant! Not like that woman there!" Hanna pointed her finger at the luna's bedroom. "How can you believe the woman is pregnant with the alpha's child when she is a former mistress of the other alpha?!"

Kaz's face darkened. Deep down, he knew there was that possibility, but then alpha Cane had never denied it. "If that's not the alpha's child, then why didn't he deny it?"

For that question, Hanna didn't know the answer. She could see how alpha Cane treated her missy so well, but then, he got another woman pregnant. In the end, he was bound to have a mistress or two, it was only a matter of time. 

What Redmond and Hanna worried, happened. The other woman was carrying alpha Cane's firstborn and the whole pack turned their back on Iris. 

"The fact the alpha didn't say anything about it, it means, they have slept together and there was a high chance it's indeed his child!" Kaz snapped back to see he got on her nerves. "Maybe the luna is not pregnant yet not because she is taking Dragonheart to prevent it, but because she doesn't have the ability." Kaz didn't say it in vicious tone, but more like he was contemplated the idea. 

"I will tell the alpha about what you said!" Hanna growled at him. 

Hearing that, Kaz chuckled. "Don't worry, I will tell him by myself. After all, I need to explain to him why there is a woman inside his bedroom. You can attend to her."

After saying that, Kaz walked away with the intention to tell Cane about this, while Hanna stood there, dumbstruck. When the realization of the situation started sinking in, she wondered if the alpha would really take her missy's side over his people. 

With that, she went into the bedroom and told Iris everything about what happened, yet she didn't say anything about the hurtful thing Kaz had said about she had not yet gotten pregnant. 

"It's okay. I am tired. I want to sleep. Can you ask someone to move my things here?" Iris looked tired, her mood was dour. She could feel this tightness in her chest ever since she entered the pack, as if the atmosphere here had drained her energy, probably because she was being sensitive because they were very polite to her and she could feel the distance they put for her. 

And the way Kaz acted just now, she knew it would be a lot of work if she wanted them to accept her and she was not sure, she wanted to keep up with that. 

At this point, she thought, living in the Riverside pack was a better place, since the member of the pack welcomed her. 

"Are you sure, miss? You want me to bring all your belongings here?"

Iris nodded. 

Cane wouldn't get mad, right? After all, they had shared bedroom together for months. 

Meanwhile, Kaz indeed looked for Cane after his encountered with Iris and Hanna. He was very sure the alpha would be mad and order him to get her out of his bedroom, but instead, Cane was half listening to his complain, as he inspected all the valuable things he took from the Riverside pack. Well, he was not a thief… he was responsible for the pack, right?

"And then?" Cane asked Kaz simply in the end of his report, which made Kaz flabbergasted. 

"Alpha, I can make her to get out of your room if you give me the order."

"Why should I?" Cane didn't even look at him when he inspected several chests, which contained golds and diamonds. 

"Alpha, you don't like woman in your bedroom," Kaz said with bewilderment. 

With that, Cane finally shifted his attention to his steward and talk calmly to him, but his tone was very firm. "She is my woman and you will treat her as the luna she is."1

Kaz widened his eyes in disbelieve upon hearing what the alpha said. He even forgot to mention about Sofia, which the alpha acted like the pregnant woman didn't even exist in the first place.
