MEMORY FROM THE PAST
She was in her dream again? The dream about the five swords that kept coming to her?
But this time, she could hear someone calling her name and when she turned around, a figure came closer to her. In her last dream, she saw this obscure figure, though this time it was a little bit clearer.
It was a woman with red, long, curly hair and when she came closer toward her, she could see the color of her eyes, they were blue.
Iris gasped to see the similarity between the two of them, if someone saw them, they would think they were siblings.
"We finally meet," she smiled and there were two dimples on her cheeks, which Iris didn't have.
This woman was so beautiful. Her beauty was ethereal, as if she was not from this world. The kindness in her eyes and the firmness in her voice, could easily make you feel safe and sound with her nearby. She looked so calm and compose.
How could someone exude such serenity?
Iris was about to ask something, but this alluring woman had grabbed her hand. "There is no time, I want to show you something." Her voice rang in this empty hall.
Iris didn't understand what she meant, but when she blinked her eyes, she was no longer inside that empty hall with five swords.
She was in a warm chamber, standing near a fireplace, where a lizard curled its body. Iris was surprised, she thought her lizard was there, but then when she looked around her, there were at least four of them and they were not on the same size like the one she had.
"What is this? Another dream?" She murmured to herself.
Even though there was no way this was real, but Iris didn't feel like it was a dream either. Everything was so real and lucid to be called as a dream.
She looked around again and found that woman with red, curly hair, she was wearing white dress, staring at the distance from her window. It was night, the sky was so gloomy and thunder could be heard in the distance.
That woman looked so lonely and sad, even though it was only her back that she could see.
However, there was another thing that distracted Iris at this moment from approaching her and asked what was going on.
Currently, Iris was flabbergasted when she heard these noises around her. The crackling sound of the firewood, the sound of the wind, the flutter from the curtain and the creaking sound when someone opened the door.
"Serafim," the man was wearing white armor and had a long sword on his hips, he lowered his head when he greeted the woman, who he called as the Serafim.
Iris had seen this attire.
The woman called Serafim was wearing the dress from Andelus continent, while the man was a warrior from the Holy Kingdom, though the armor was slightly different from what Iris had learned.
"What is it, Rei?" The Serafim asked him, her eyes were swollen, as if she had been crying for hours. "How is he?"
"Serafim…" The warrior named Rei looked hesitant to tell her the news.
"Tell me." Her voice was shaking, she balled her fists tightly beside her body. She looked like she was preparing herself for the worst, but still, she didn't look like she was ready for the news.
Rei's jaw hardened when he spoke through his gritted teeth, because he knew it would hurt the Serafim so much.
"Lu is dead, people burned him alive, he didn't fight them at all." There was no gentle or better way to deliver such news and Rei chose to be blunt, so she didn't need to go through more pain.
Still, it didn't decrease the agony that she had to endure.
"AARRGHH!" The Serafim let out a painful scream, as she fell to her knees and keep crying. The pain in her voice, the anger that she held back, it transformed into red flames that burned everything around her.
"Serafim! Please, calm yourself down! Please, calm yourself!" Rei looked panic when he was surrounded by fire. The room would be burned down completely if the Serafim didn't stop this. "Serafim, please! Your wrath will only feed Decratic, you give him more power, you need to clear your mind and heart! Please, your holiness!"
However, how could the Serafim calm herself down when she heard about Lu's death? Her heart filled with so much anger and hatred, she wanted to get her revenge, she wanted to be mad, she wanted to go crazy and kill those people, who had killed Lu, despite knowing her evil thought would only make Decratic stronger.
This was his game after all. This was how he got to her. He took the most important person in her life and this was the reaction that he wanted.
But, how could she stop this anguish feeling?
Why would Lu keep his promise at this time? 0
She shouldn't have made him promise her such thing and now she wallowed in the pain of losing him.
On the other hand, Iris closed her ears with both of her palms, because the scream from the Serafim was so painful to hear, but then the fireplace beside her blasted and everything went blurry.
Finally, it was quiet again…
=============================
"Shift." The man stared at the lycan and with his commanding voice, he spoke to the cursed creature. "I said, shift."
This old man emerged from the trees, as his black eyes fixed on the lycan, but then those black eyes slowly turned red. There was no fear, neither he flinched when he walked through countless corpses and the wet ground.
The splashing sound of his steps on the puddle of blood, didn't even bother him at all.
"Shift back," he said more sternly this time and slowly, his eyes turned into its original black color, so did the lycan, as the beast shifted back into its human form.
