ANOTHER DEATH
Cane growled, as he shifted into his human form. He couldn't believe it, this man could suppress the lycan. He could feel Lu became quiet in his mind, as he gained his control over his body back.
Cane dropped to his knees, panting heavily, as he could feel the intense fight against the lycan and the four hundred royal warriors affected him so much. The after effect of it came back to him now and he had felt this familiar feeling before when he used the lycan power to get his revenge on the Blue Moon pack.
The day where the lycan battled them out. It drained him.
"Father…" lady Cyan approached the old man, while Leon was dumbstruck to watch how the lycan was defeated so easily.
On the other hand, the king was still had this angry look on his face, he didn't seem to care about his surroundings or what had transpired.
"Father, thank you for coming…"
Yet, before lady Cyan could finish her words, a harsh slap landed on her face. It was shocking coming from that skinny old man, which the force made lady Cyan stumbled back and fell to the ground.
"How dare you to expose yourself like this?!" the man barked at his daughter. "Such a disappointment. How far you will disappoint me, huh? Can't you use your mind a little bit better?!"
Lady Cyan held her cheek, as she tried not to cry. She felt blood inside of her mouth.
"You can't even do something right!"
"Father… I… I meant good with this plan. You need to hear me first…" Lady Cyan felt like she was a child again, where she would hear the constant of disappointment from her father and how he wished he had two sons, instead of a daughter. "That woman, that runt, who is his mate…"
"Shut up!" The old man then looked around him and his eyes landed on Leon, as he whispered to him. "Kill yourself."
Leon looked terrified when he heard that whisper, especially when his hand moved on its own and his claw emerged from the tip of his fingers.
"No… no… no… please…" Leon looked mortified when he failed to stop himself from clawing his own neck, as blood gushed out of his wounds. "No… please. I will be your loyal servant… you will need me…"
However, despite what Leon said, he couldn't stop the spell. He let out an ear splitting scream followed by gurgling sound when his mouth filled with so much blood.
Cane watched everything unfolded and knew he would be next if he couldn't find a way out of this situation. Whoever this man was, he was a bad news.
Once Leon's body fell to the ground and he was no longer had the strength to make a clean cut on his own, his body jolted for a few seconds, before he stayed still. He was dead.
"Father… we need him," lady Cyan said. There was no fear in her eyes when she saw everything unfolded, as she had seen this kind of scene countless times, she had numbed her feeling upon seeing this gruesome sight. "We need him to move the royal warriors…" she said in pitiful voice.
She accepted Leon because she saw value in him, but her father killed him just like that? Why he didn't want to hear her explanation first?
"Shut the fuck up and get up! You waste so much of my time!" The man glared at lady Cyan, who immediately stood up, her cheek was swollen, but she didn't dare to complain about the pain. No matter how old she was, she would always turn into that helpless little child when she faced her father.
And the next thing that got that man's attention was Cane.
"So, he is the lycan…" he mumbled. His eyes fixed on Cane, who was still kneeling on the ground, but the alpha reciprocated his gaze coldly. "The lycan resides in him?" He tilted his head and then approached Cane.
"Father, what are you going to do?" Lady Cyan looked worried when her father came closer toward the alpha, she was afraid he would shift into his lycan again and attacked him.
"I am going to extricate the lycan out of him." The old man looked at the alpha up and down, as if he tried to gauge him out.
=================================
"Gamma Ethan, I the smell of blood is so strong in that direction," Joel said. He shifted into his human form when he came closer toward Ethan, since they couldn't communicate through mindlink when they were in their beast form.
"Yeah, I can smell that too," Ethan said with a frown.
He had met with Jace before and they managed to sneak out from the barricade of the Blue Moon warriors and the royal warriors without them noticed it.
The terrain of this area was still within their knowledge, they wouldn't know this place as much as they did, especially the Goffa mountain.
At that moment, Redmond was trying to get to the other Blue Moon Warriors, but he still couldn't get through Lyle. It was not sure, whether he was within those people, or he went somewhere else in a small group.
"Let's split into two groups," Ethan said. "Aliana, you led the second group, take Haco with you as well and follow me."2
In that way, if there was an ambush or something went wrong with the first group, the second group could be their back up.
"Boy, you come with me," Ethan said, as he patted Joel's shoulder and then shifted into his beast, followed by the other seven young warriors, while the rest followed Aliana's order.
The deeper they went into the mountain, the stronger the smell of blood there, as if there was a massacre.
Ethan's heart beat so fast, he prayed so hard, he was not too late and by some miracle, there was no one got hurt, though he knew it was impossible…
