There you go
"Ahhhh!!!!"1
The man screamed his lungs out, feeling his entire body shake. The pain from his eyes crawled to every fiber of his body. He wanted to touch his eyes and take the pen out but was too afraid to even touch it.
He gave her more information, didn't he? Why did she still poke his eye?! Just how violent this woman was?
How could she poke someone's eyes and show no remorse about it? Only those wicked people in the gang world were the people the man knew these types of people existed.
"That one eye is for my mother-in-law," she said, making it sound like she would have taken his other eye if there was another pen available. "I'll take the rest later."
The man almost choked on his scream, staring at Heaven with dread. Seeing that dead look on her face, he certainly knew she meant what she said. Despite the dreadful situation, the man couldn't help but wonder; Would she have done worse if he kept his mouth shut?
Heaven drew a deep breath and turned around, facing the three (the chief, the officer, and her husband) behind her. She simply glanced at the chief and the officer, settling her eyes on her husband's gaze. The chief and the officer's thoughts were already clear to her just by looking at their faces, but she couldn't read Dominic at this moment.
Dominic just held her gaze, bearing a plain countenance. No one knew what was going on in his mind right now. Was he surprised? Angry? Amazed? No one had any idea.
"Ugh... help..." the man whimpered, weakening at the striking pain in his eyes. However, no one came to his rescue as everyone was still processing the violence displayed in such confidence in this place.
"What..." Meanwhile, in the observation room, Dane couldn't help but take a step back in fear. His eyes were shaking, staring at the man with a pen sticking out of his eye. He had seen everything unfold, which he wished he could unsee.
"How... why..." he stuttered, moving his shaking eyes filled with terror to Heaven's figure. 'How could she do something like this?'
Was this still a part of a mother's unconditional love for her son? Could a mother truly do such a violent thing for her child? Dane was speechless, mystified, and shocked. He could feel his heart slow down as his breath grew heavy, gulping the tension rising in his throat.
Although Dane was the only person terrified of this situation, he wasn't the only person who was surprised. The officers in the observation room stared at Heaven with furrowed brows.
Axel, on the other hand, only showed worry. This wasn't a surprise for Axel. Matter of fact, he expected the worst since he had seen this side of her. Though, for Axel, this side of Heaven wasn't cool. If anything, this side of her scared him in ways he could never describe in words.
"Heh..." Unlike everyone, Tiger's smirk returned to his face. This time, his lips were stretched even broader and his eyes sparkled with excitement. 'There you go. I thought she'd forget about those in the hospital just because he shared a piece of information.'
Although Tiger had no attachment to the other victims or to the Zhu Family in general, a person whom he considered family got hurt. He would be very disappointed if they pardoned this guy, despite taking part in the accident.
'Man... I'm itching to know what else she can do. Oh, Bernard.'His eyes glinted as his countenance displayed madness for a second. 'You guys better fucking tell me which part of hell did she come from.'
In the interrogation room...
"Let's talk later," said Heaven, breaking the prolonged silence between her and Dominic. She shifted her sharp gaze to the chief, cocking her head to the side. "What are you still doing? You got the list. Don't tell me I should order you around now as well?"
"Ahem!" The chief cleared his throat and looked away, jerking his chin at the mirror. "Send the list to everyone, and tell them to raid all of them to find the little master."
BOING.
Dominic instinctively fished his phone out of his suit pocket, skimming through the short message he received. "There's no need for that. He's in the Cakewalk County."
"Huh?" The chief turned to Dominic while Heaven furrowed her brows.
"My intel told me," was the only information he gave them, facing the chief squarely. "Send out all your units in that place since you're the closest..."
DING!
Dominic trailed off as he received another message. This time, it had a different ring, which Dane and Heaven noticed. When Dominic checked what it was, it was the same information, but this time it was from the General.
"No doubt," he remarked, snapping his eyes back to the chief. "The General will send out reinforcement. Mr Zhang, get a grip and prepare everyone. We'll set off to Cakewalk County."
"Let me come with you!" Heaven leaped, pinching the hem of his suit. "Let me go with you, Dom. If you don't, I'll go there alone."
Dominic gazed at his wife coldly, eyes falling on her hand before lifting his eyes back to her. Seeing that distant look on his face, Heaven felt a pinch in her heart.
Was one of her fears about to happen as well? Would his treatment change now that he had seen how ruthless she could be? Negative thoughts immediately filled her mind, just staring at his stony and distant countenance.
"Don't look at me like that." Dominic let out a deep exhale, lifting his arm a little. "Let's go."
Heaven pressed her lips, relieved at the peeking gentleness in his eyes. Although they were still sharp, she knew deep in her heart that it was because of the situation. She reached for his hand and the moment she clasped it, the two of them headed out of the interrogation room to save their son.
And also, to make those who were involved pay heavily.
