"Huhuhuhu!"

Axel frowned, watching his sister bawl her eyes once again. She was still fine when he came, but the second he called her and she faced him, tears just suddenly ran down her cheeks. 

"Sis, what the heck?" He scrunched up his face. "I thought you would be fine since my brother visited you yesterday. But it seemed you are much worse!"

"Axel…" her voice shook as she blew her nose. "... your brother might divorce me."

"So, what? It's just a — what did you say?" he gasped, jumping from his seat to the edge of the bed. "Sis, what did you just say? Why would my brother divorce you?"

Heaven hiccuped. "He's mad about something, and then he left yesterday after saying he needed some time."

"Sis, what did you do?" Axel furrowed his brows. "Did you do something bad that you two might break up?"

Impossible! His brother and sister-in-law were head over heels with each other. Nothing could ever break them apart! But… why would Heaven think so?"

"I lied about something." She hiccuped once more, wiping the tears on her cheek. "Dom hates liars, but I did. And he might divorce me because of that."

"No…" Axel shook his head in denial. "My brother isn't like that. He will never divorce you, even if you do something wrong."

Heaven peeked up at him, but then looked away. "This time, he's really mad."

"You two can't break up!" He shook his head profusely. "I refuse! Can't be! Basti will surely be with me in this!"

"What makes you think you have a say in it?" she returned before blowing her nose. 

"You're pregnant!" Axel frowned. "Also, I have a say in it because I'm the brother!"

What was the connection?

Heaven could only cast him a look, but didn't argue with him. She was already so stressed out that she didn't have the energy to argue. All she wanted was for Dominic to finish his soul searching and tell her that they start with a clean slate.

"Sis…" his frown deepened as she quieted down, patting her back to calm her down. "Can you please stop crying? I don't know what you lied about, but if my brother said he needs time, then just give him some space. I'm sure he will calm down soon and will talk to you about it with a level head."

He stroked her back, eyes filling with worry. "It's not good for the baby if you keep crying and stressing yourself out. Remember, you are on the bedrest."

"But I can't stop…" she buried her face with her palm. "It hurts so much and it scares me."

"It's okay, I'm here." His voice softened, moving closer to embrace her and comfort her. "Just trust in him and your relationship. I'm sure things will be okay. I mean, come on. He didn't even divorce you in the first five years of your marriage."

Heaven clutched his back but didn't say anything. Dominic didn't divorce the original Heaven Liu because the latter might be harsh, but she never lied to him. The original Heaven openly hated him, and no matter how cruel the original Heaven was, what she showed was her truth. 

Dominic hated liars, and this stemmed from the time his uncle orchestrated the death of the young Dominic. It was already deep-rooted. Therefore, knowing his wife was lying to him all this time terrified her. Therefore, she already thought that he might divorce her. 

"No matter what…" Axel whispered. "Just think about the baby first."

Axel kept patting her back and comforted her until she calmed down. Her eyes grew so swollen that she felt sleepy with all that crying. He stayed, though. He stayed until she eventually fell asleep. 

"I guess it's not nice for her to focus on bed rest," he muttered and sighed, thinking his sister-in-law had nothing else to do. Therefore, she had all the time in the world to worry about many things. 

"Just why would she think he will divorce him?" he mumbled, staring at the sleeping Heaven.

It was a mystery to Axel that his brother might break up with his sister-in-law. However, Heaven wouldn't cry so much if her assumptions were baseless. 

"Just what did she do?" he asked himself, rubbing his chin. 

Meanwhile, Sebastian, who was busy reading a book, glanced at his uncle. Usually, his uncle was loud and did everything to cheer him up. But now Axel was just talking to himself.

"Is everything alright, Uncle?" he asked out of plain curiosity, making Axel snap his eyes back to him. "You've been mumbling to yourself."

"Ah…" Axel let out a nervous chuckle, waving both his hands sideways. "Haha. It's nothing, Basti. Don't mind me."

"I see." Sebastian didn't pry, setting his attention back on the book. "How was my mommy? Is she alright?"

"Yes! She's recovering well!" — sort of. Axel cleared his throat as he refocused his attention. "Anyway, Basti, your mother had been requesting that you two should be put in the same ward. Don't you want her to look after you?"

"She'll just cry if she sees my foot," answered Sebastian with disinterest, keeping his attention on the book. "Uncle, can you please leave? My doctors will soon make their rounds and I want to rest until then."

Axel pressed his lips into a thin line, sighing. Ever since Sebastian felt better, he sounded more like his father. Though healing from his injury, Axel was still glad Sebastian was doing better than everyone expected. 

"Alright." Axel pushed himself up, tapping the edge of the bed. "I'll go see Mom and Dad. I'll go back later."

Sebastian didn't even cast his uncle a look as the latter marched away. He stopped reading, though, but kept his eyes on the book. 

"If we share the same ward, she wouldn't rest and just take care of me." Sebastian slowly raised his gaze at his cast. "The baby needs her more than me this time."

Another deep exhale slipped past Axel's mouth as he closed the door behind him. His little nephew seemed to have matured more after that incident. But then again, Sebastian's mind was already more advanced than the kids his age. 

"Goodness…" Axel mumbled, dragging his feet to where his parents were at. Heaven was right. He was like the head physician, doing his own rounds with his patients. 

As Axel made a turn at the end, he caught a few figures walking in his direction. A frown instantly appeared on his face, focusing on the man walking in the middle. 

"Yes, that's right," Dominic talked to Butler Fu without slowing down, arching a brow as soon as he caught a figure from the corner of his eyes. When Dominic set his eyes ahead, he slowed down until he was a few feet from his brother. 

"Huh?'" Butler Fu and Dane, who were walking on either side of Dominic, also stopped, looking at the second young master. The bodyguards who were with them also furrowed their brows, noticing the ugly look on Axel's face.

"You!" Everyone almost flinched when Axel pointed a finger at his brother. "Do you think everyone is perfect, Dominic Zhu?! You are not perfect yourself, so how can you be so harsh with other people's mistakes? How can you be so heartless to a pregnant lady at that, huh?! Is that how Mom and Dad raised you? I'm so disappointed! Apologize to my sister!" 

Wow.

"..." 

Everyone blinked and blinked, eyes on Axel. Dane, in particular, almost clapped at Axel's courage. Surely, the second young master had a special place in his brother's heart. If this was anyone else, Dominic would've already asked someone to drag him out of his way. Considering how fierce and ruthless Dominic was in the past days.
