Good thing you know!

"How pretty," Heaven whispered as she played with Dominic's hair with her fingertips. Her eyes softened with affection, staring at his sleeping face. "You must be very tired, huh?"0

The corner of her mouth curled up subtly. They were just talking a moment ago, but with just a moment of silence, Dominic nodded off. 

"It was hard, wasn't it?" she muttered, tracing his cheek down to his jaw. "You've been through a lot as well... thank you."

Heaven nodded slightly as if he wasn't sleeping. "Don't do that again, and I promise you I will stay."

The past few days were filled with nothing but sadness. It was one of the most stressful times for her. On top of that, she had to worry about her baby. However, she was certain it was the same for Dominic. After all, Dominic wasn't the type to express his hardships, but she would've preferred it if he shared that hardship with her. 

"Be nice now," she repeated under her breath, poking the tip of his nose with her index. 

Her smile stretched subtly, retrieving her knuckles from her temple as she lowered her head. Heaven moved closer to him, using his arm as a head cushion while her hand and leg were over his body. 

'I'm glad everything worked out perfectly,' she thought, giggling as she closed her eyes. "Good night, my love."

"Your test results were out, Mrs. Zhu." The head physician offered Heaven a wide smile, only to see the young madam smile back. Her mood was surely different from what she had a few days ago, but that was normal for patients who stayed in the hospital. "The baby is fine, but you still have to be careful. As much as possible, don't exhaust yourself, and also take a lot of rest."

The head physician went on and on, reminding her of what she should avoid doing. He almost sounded like nagging her as he reminded her of her vitamins for her and her baby. This time, Heaven listened to everything.

"Once everything is settled, you can get discharged anytime," said the physician, earning a nod from her.

"Thank you, Doctor."

"You're welcome, young madam." The head physician stayed for a while to chat with her more before he bid her farewell. Heaven kept a smile as she gazed at the door where the groups of doctors were going. 

"Sis, I already booked you a room in the hotel I'm staying." Heaven snapped her eyes as she turned to Axel, who was sitting on the edge of the bed. "Don't worry. Your room is just right beside mine, so you won't feel lonely."

"Why would I feel lonely? I can just stay in Basti's room."

"But weren't you listening?" Axel frowned. "The doctor said you still need rest and avoid exhausting yourself. It's not good for the baby!"

"How is staying in my son's room exhausting?" Heaven pouted. "I'll just keep Basti some company. In that case, you don't have to worry about him and focus on Mom."

Axel opened his mouth but ended up shutting them close once again. He stared at his sister and sighed.

"Are you that happy you are discharged?"

"I am happy because it means my baby is out of harm's way."

"I see..." Axel rocked his head in understanding. "Anyway, I'll go settle your account. Wait for me here --"

Knock Knock.

Axel abruptly stopped when a knock came from outside the door. The two of them instinctively looked at the door, only to see Dominic coming in. Her face instantly brightened up at the sight of her husband, but Heaven failed to notice the grim look that took over Axel's face. 

"I met your doctor on the way and told me about the good news," Dominic announced with a subtle smile. "Mr. Zhang is settling your accounts right now."

"Mhm." Heaven nodded with a smile, raising her brows as she glanced at Axel. Deep lines instantly resurfaced in between her brows the moment she saw the deep frown on Axel's face. "Axel, is there's something wrong?"

"No wonder you're all smiles right now." Axel squinted his eyes at his sister-in-law. "You two finally made up, huh?"

"Well." The side of her lips stretched from ear to ear, glancing at Dominic, who stood beside her bed. "It's just as you said. We'll make up in no time, and we did."

Her teeth were on full display, holding Dominic's hand on her shoulder. But alas, her brows rose again at the unchanging frown on Axel.

"What, Axel?" she asked, tilting her head to the side. "Is there something wrong?"

Axel sighed as he glanced at his brother before setting his eyes back to her. "Just like that?"

"What do you mean, just like that?" 

"Sis, did you forget those past few days?" Without hesitation, Axel raised his questions as if Dominic wasn't there. "You were bawling your eyes day in and out! Did you forget the stress he'd put you through? You are pregnant, don't forget! Yet, he was so mean to you! How can you make up with him just like that? Have you got no pride?"

"..." Heaven looked at her brother-in-law, stupefied. His remarks were something she didn't expect from Axel, but then again, Axel was always like this. 

Although Axel admired his big brother, he was very honest with his feelings. If something was wrong for him, Axel wouldn't hesitate to say it. Until now, she didn't know if this trait of him was good or bad. However, she was certain she admired him for this.

Meanwhile, Dominic kept his lips shut. There was nothing to say, nor he should defend himself. Dominic was in the wrong, and he didn't realize that until he got a good sleep last night after countless sleepless nights.

"Axel..." Heaven sighed, casting Dominic a look. "Dom."

"It's okay." Dominic offered a reassuring smile, slowly setting his attention to his brother. "He's right, after all. I did put you through under so much stress, considering you were with a child."

"Hmp!" Axel huffed, crossing his arms under his chest. "Good thing you know!"
