Sebastian raised his brows at the knock on the door. He glanced at it with nonchalance, guessing it was his uncle again. But when the door slid open, his pupils slightly dilated. There, by the door, was his mother, being wheeled in by his father. 

"Mommy..." he called with a tinge of relief as he felt his entire body warm up at the sight of his smiling mother. 

"Basti~" Her lips stretched into a smile until she was wheeled to the side of his bed. "Baby."

Heaven immediately leaned over to the edge of the bed, sprawling her hand to hold her son's hand. "Basti, I missed you. How are you, baby?"

"I'm fine..." he trailed off, biting his quivering lower lip. His eyes felt hot as a layer of tears coated them. 

"Basti..." Heaven planted her hands on the armrest, pushing herself up to sit on the edge of the bed.

To be fair, she didn't need a wheelchair. However, Axel and Dominic insisted on wheeling her out of her ward to avoid 'exhausting' her. For their peace of mind, she agreed. It was for the baby, anyway. 

"Oh, my baby." Heaven cupped Sebastian's face, assessing his adorable face. "Have you been eating well, Basti? Did you lose weight? Are you still hurt anywhere? Why are you crying?"

Sebastian held back his tears, but alas, his tears betrayed him. He kept his mouth in a tight slash, looking back at her emotionally. All this time, Sebastian had forced himself to make peace with everything. He kept himself calm, acting as if nothing happened and that everything was alright. However, it wasn't alright. Even though his father and uncle would accompany him most of the time, he missed his mother. 

"Mommy, is the baby really okay?" he asked in a muffled voice, earning a reassuring smile from her. "Are you really okay?"

"Of course." Heaven nodded, brushing his tears with her thumb. "The baby is well, and I'm sure the baby is glad that his or her big brother thinks of him a lot. Come here, baby."

She gently pulled him into her embrace, resting the side of her head on top of his head. She tightened her grip, but immediately loosened it so as not to hurt him. As the two of them embraced each other, Dominic, who was standing behind the wheelchair, couldn't help but sigh. 

For the past several days, since Sebastian regained full consciousness, the boy had been cold to everyone. All he did was read books, eat, and sleep. Although that was because he wanted to get better immediately, they were afraid something was wrong because he didn't look for his mother that much. Considering how attached the little master was to his wife, they expected him to look for her. But instead, not only Sebastian didn't look for her that much, but he also refused to be put in the same ward as her. 

'Well, I've always known he's just putting up a big front as consideration for everyone.' Meanwhile, Axel stayed in the corner with his back resting against the wall. He crossed his arm under his chest, smiling at the mother and son on the bed. 

'Regardless... I'm still glad we're all fine.' 

Relief surged in Axel's heart, still grateful at the fact that none of them died in that incident. His only worry was his father, Lionel. However, he carried an optimistic heart that Lionel would soon wake up. His mother was already doing fine, so they had to be strong for Lionel.

Axel slowly veered his gaze to his brother's figure. 'I'm still disappointed in him, but I can't be angry for that long,'he sighed, shaking his head as he told himself he would make peace with everything in the future.

For now, they have to cherish these little miracles and blessings.  At least their family was still complete, and that was all that mattered. 

At Heaven's request, she didn't go to the hotel Axel booked for her. Instead, she stayed with Sebastian to look after him. Axel obviously stayed as well, since he also planned on taking care of his nephew and then spending some time with his parents. Dominic might have been busy with the matters of the family and company outside, but Axel was also busy taking care of them emotionally. 

After some time, Dominic had to leave his family to attend to some important matters. Though he told them he would pick up his wife in the evening so she could rest some more. She insisted on staying the night in the ward, but this time, not only Axel and Dominic refused, but Sebastian as well. Therefore, she had to give up and listen. She had to compromise for the baby. 

"Baby, is this what you've been reading?" Lying beside the bed, Heaven glanced at the book Sebastian was reading initially before facing him. 

"Mhm." Sebastian smiled warmly at her. "It's good."

"I bet it is." Heaven ruffled his hair gently before setting her eyes on the book he was reading. It was a book of war, something she enjoyed reading as a child as well. As the thought crossed her, a smile turned up on her face as her eyes glided to his son. 

'I think he really took after me,'she thought, leaning closer to read the page he was reading. 

Sebastian also smiled as his mother showed interest in the book. Though she always showed an interest in everything he did, seeing her doing it again felt like everything was falling to how things used to be. He couldn't move his foot properly and his injury would need months of treatment, but as long as his mother was with him, he knew things wouldn't be that bad. 

The mother and son duo read the book quietly, enjoying each other's company in silence. After an hour or so, Heaven tucked him in so he could nap. She stayed right beside him, tapping his shoulder mildly until Sebastian's breathing deepened. 

'I really don't know how much I missed him until now.'The smile on her face was almost cemented, staring at her son affectionately. When her eyes glided to his cast, her smile cracked. 

Knock Knock

"I'm here." Before the door opened, Bear announced his presence to let the people inside know.

Heaven didn't answer, listening to the sound of the door opening before she spoke.

"I heard everything from Dom," she said, keeping her soft eyes on Sebastian. "I want you to do something for me, Bear."
