Where's Tiger?
Meanwhile, in the Zhu old residence…0
Heaven happily joined her children and everyone in the family room. But when Dominic came back after a phone call, she couldn't help but glance at him.
Something was wrong.
Dominic was her husband, her beloved, the man she promised to share her last breath with. Therefore, she could tell even before Dominic could say anything, she already knew something was off. There was something in the phone call that caused his eyes to light up with such anger and malice.
Even so, Heaven didn't mention it. She simply asked to take her children to their rooms, asking Miriam to look after Miracle while she tended to Sebastian. When she tucked Sebastian to sleep, she returned to their room, where Dominic went after their quality time in the family room.
"What happened?" was her first question as soon as she walked into their bedroom, closing the door behind her. "Did Silas make a move?"
Dominic was just standing beside the window. His side was resting against the wall, holding a glass of whiskey in one hand and then his phone in the other.
"Yes," he answered quietly, keeping his eyes through the small gap between the window and blinds. "They got Axel."
Heaven held her breath as her pupils dilated. "Where are they?" she asked, telling herself she should've listened to her gut feeling earlier today.
Both Heaven and Dominic had felt so restless the entire day. They couldn't explain the reason, but they didn't like the feeling. It was the reason Dominic called home abruptly while Heaven called him in the middle of the day, which was something they wouldn't normally do.
"No wonder I've been feeling restless the entire day," she muttered as she marched toward the window. Heaven stood on the other side of the blind, slipping her finger to move it a bit to check the situation outside. "He really is crafty, putting us under surveillance to make sure we don't know anything that happened to Axel."
"That's why I can't go even when I want to." Dominic languidly lifted the glass of whiskey to his lips while his eyes fell on his phone. Seeing that an incoming call was on the screen, he answered it while still drinking.
"Well, I guess Moose is already on it," she commented, only to see Dominic putting his phone in front of his ear from the corner of her eyes. She arched a brow and glanced at him, watching Dominic nod without saying a word.
"Tell me once he's in a safe place," said Dominic. "No. I can't see him tonight."
The phone call was short as Dominic ended the call after saying his piece. As soon as he did, Dominic looked back at his wife.
"Yes. Moose is already on it," he answered monotonously. "He said he already called Tiger for help since Silas left a few people he trusts to make sure those guys finish the job."
"I see." Heaven rocked her head in understanding, still calm at this point. She snapped her eyes up to him again, catching the slight worry in his naturally sharp eyes.
"Don't worry, Dom," she said, offering him a reassuring smile. "I know Moose, and he will make sure Axel will be fine."
"Tell me, Hera. Did you anticipate this from happening?"
Heaven didn't answer immediately, pressing her lips into a thin line as she hummed a long tune. "I can't say I anticipated this exact situation, but I've always known he would be in trouble. After observing Silas, I knew Axel would always be in his plans."
"I trust you," he said sincerely. "Though I can't say I'm not worried and that I don't have any urgency to make sure my brother is safe, I put my trust in you. If you say Moose can save him, then I believe you."
"Thanks, my love." A smile turned up on her face, smirking. "I wonder where is Tiger?"
"Moose said he was in the middle of something."
"Where?"
"He didn't say his whereabouts." Dominic shrugged. "Why are you asking about his whereabouts? Are you afraid he won't reach Axel in time?"
"No?"
"Then why?"
"I'm just curious about something." Heaven winked, making him tilt his head to the side in confusion.

"Are you sure you are not needed somewhere?" Ivy inquired, clinging onto Tiger's arms as they stood inside the lift. She looked up at him, worried. "You can go. I can manage now."
Tiger looked to his side where she was, smiling. "I told you, Miss Wei. It can wait."
"Don't blame me in the future…" she murmured, blinking wearily. She still felt a little dizzy, but unlike earlier, she had a little strength. Her eyes then fell on the long briefcase placed on Tiger's side and then, looking up at him, her brows deepened.
Tiger had been looking at his phone after that phone call. She stretched her neck to check what he had been doing, only to see him still studying the map he had been looking at.
"What's that for?" she asked out of plain curiosity. "You've been looking at it even when you're driving."
"Miss Wei, I didn't know you're quite nosy."
"I'm not nosy." She frowned. "I'm just curious, that's all. Also, what's that briefcase for?"
"It's my favorite toy."
"Huh?"
"Joking." Tiger grinned. "Miss Wei, will you let me use your bathroom?"
"Sure."
His brows rose, looking at her with complexity.
"What?" she asked, seeing the slight dismay swirling in his eyes. "Did I say something weird again?"
"Yes. How can you let a stranger in your place? Just because he asked if he can use your bathroom? Surely, your personality is a little alarming."
"But you're not a stranger," she argued with a frown. "Why? Should I have refused your request, then?"
"Nope, but if you keep accepting my request, I might ask to take your virginity next time."
Her face instantly turned red as she hung her head low. Meanwhile, Tiger laughed out loud playfully. After several seconds, they snapped their eyes to the door as it slowly parted, sliding open. Tiger ushered Ivy to her room, helping her open the door. But alas, as soon as the two of them stepped in, Tiger pressed an area around her nape, causing her to lose consciousness.
"You're really lucky I'm not an actual animal, Miss Wei." Tiger caught Ivy's body with his arm, dropping his briefcase near his feet. In one swift movement, he carried Ivy in his arms and took her to her bed, before returning to the entryway to get the briefcase.
