[Bonus chapter] Front and back

[OLD ZHU RESIDENCE]1

A large group of men approached the north wing quietly. Their black suit camouflage with the darkness, casting each other a look. One man raised a hand and moved it ahead, signaling to everyone the surrounding was clear. 

The residence was huge and vast, surrounded by a large area of green. Which explained the silence of the night. The men's steps were quiet, but still, the grass underneath their feet rustled with their every step. That didn't stop them, though. They advanced to the main residence, aware of the ins and outs of the place as they had studied it. 

As much as possible, they didn't want to engage in a shootout with the bodyguards stationed to guard the residence. Therefore, their employer sent some people to work in the household, drugging everyone tonight to give them an easier job. Even so, they were careful. 

Again, the man who signaled them to advance raised his hand once more. This time, he motioned his hand in a circular motion. Seeing his signal, the men dispersed, circling around the residence until the place was surrounded.

Those who were left in the field, on the other hand, continued to tread toward the main door of the north wing. When the man reached the door, he peeked through the glass on either side of the door. 

No one was inside. 

He reached for the knob, twisting it carefully. When he found out if it was unlocked, he cast the rest a quick look. Nothing was said, but somehow, they nodded at each other. The man immediately and carefully opened the door. Somehow, the door creaked louder than it should. But that didn't stop them from getting in. 

The orders they received were to take Ria, Lionel, Sebastian, and Miracle with them. They weren't ordered to kill them on sight, but rather, used them as leverage to deal with Dominic. Which explained why they were all being careful. 

When they stepped inside, the man leading them stopped by the entryway. He raised a hand, making the people behind him stop in their steps. The man looked around cautiously until his eyes fell on the figure on the long couch nearby. He closed his fist, leaving his index erect. 

Seeing that the captain of their unit was looking in a particular direction, everyone who was in the entryway turned their heads. There, on the long couch, was a man sitting on it. Deep lines appeared between their brows, catching some baskets of buns and snacks on the coffee table. Yet, the big, fat man who almost took the entire space of the long couch was not moving. 

"Tsk." The captain cast the person on his right a look. "Check him."

The other man didn't say anything, but he nodded. With the man's own discretion, he approached the big figure on the couch. The closer he got, the more vigilant he became. His weapon was raised until he was a few steps from the side of the couch.

"Hey," he called quietly, using his rifle's muzzle to press the fat man's shoulder mildly. "Hey," he called again, only to furrow his brows at the sound coming from the fat man. Taking another step closer, he immediately drew his head back upon realizing the fat man was just snoring. 

Ignoring all the food on the coffee table and the crumbs lying on the chubby guy's bulging stomach, the man looked at his colleagues. He lowered his gun, raising a hand to his neck before waving it as if he were cutting his own neck. 

"He's asleep — probably drugged," the man whispered, but despite his quiet voice, it reached the people in the entryway. 

The group in the entryway nodded in understanding before the captain motioned his hand. "Continue."

Everyone nodded, knowing the north wing was simply their entrance. The Zhu family members were still in the other part of this huge old mansion. With that thought in mind, they slowly made their way inside. They already studied the map of the residence. Knowing that this would be an easy job, they slowly lowered their guards. 

What they didn't know was that as the group headed the way, connecting the North Wing to the main residence, the chubby man on the long couch lifted the bun in his hand and guided it into his mouth. The fat man they all believed was sleeping soundlessly due to the drugs the 'maids' put into everyone's food, slowly lifted his head. 

Fig blinked wearily, staring at the group of men wearing black gear with weapons across their bodies. He didn't even wonder if those rifles were the only weapons they had, as he already assumed there were more weapons hiding behind their clothes. 

'One, two, three, four… seven,'Fig counted in his head while chewing the bun Heaven bribed him earlier today. He nodded in understanding as he tried to finish the bun first. When he swallowed down everything, he leaned forward to get another bun before getting up to his feet. 

Fig's steps didn't make a sound despite his size. He approached the group without them knowing, slipping his hand inside his suit pocket. As he got closer, he kept the bun in between his teeth while installing the silencer. When he secured it, he used the pistol's muzzle to shove the bun into his mouth, walking a step behind the last person heading into the hall. 

Grrr…

The group halted upon hearing a low growl somewhere. The captain leading the group raised his hand as a signal for everyone to stop, looking around at the narrow hallway, eyes on the end of the short hallway. Everyone kept their wide eyes ahead, watching an animal's shadow stretch to the end of the hallway. 

Grr…

The second growl prompted everyone to hold their guns securely, raising them in the shadow at the end of the hallway. They could see the animal approaching closer, and they waited with bated breaths for the infamous pet of Old Madam Zhu to come out. So, they could shoot down this damn animal, not knowing the animal wasn't only coming ahead, but also in the back.
