[Bonus chapter] Just tell me what you know
Meanwhile…2
"Haha! You guys really got me good!" Primo laughed as he sped through the hallway, wheeling Grandma Zhu in front of him. "Man… I shouldn't have trusted that idiot. Instead, I should've just killed him when he got beaten up into a pulp."
"Hah!" Grandma Zhu gripped the armrest, afraid she would fall at their speed. She looked back at the young man behind her, sneering. "You shouldn't just blame my grandson for it. Blame yourself for targeting our family."
"Old Madam Zhu, I'm already annoyed enough for me to snap that fragile little neck of yours." Primo hissed, gazing down at the Old Madam Zhu without slowing down in his pace. "If I were you, you better shut your damn fucking mouth. I'm not in the mood and I'm afraid I don't have the patience to spare."
Grandma Zhu scoffed one more time, shaking her head as she set her fiery eyes ahead. All she could do at the moment was look ahead while holding onto the end of the armrest so she wouldn't fall. Good thing she took her medicine earlier. Or else she would've had a heart attack or some sort because of everything.
'Good thing Dominic prepared for it,' she thought, relieved that Axel was alright. Although his youngest grandson seemed to be in terrible shape, Axel still had the energy to tease Silas. So, that only meant Axel wasn't in the condition of dying.
However, Dominic was left in the event hall while this man fled the moment he found the chance to flee. Even though Grandma Zhu trusted Dominic and put their family's life into his hands, she couldn't help but worry.
Did Dominic prepare for the safety of his parents and children?
At this very second, that was Grandma Zhu's only concern. Dominic might be in the middle of a shootout, but considering he was fighting with capable people, she was confident he would be fine. But how about Sebastian, Miracle, Ria, and Lionel?
There might be bodyguards left in the old residence. But alas, Grandma Zhu had already seen the skills displayed by their enemies. Moreover, Silas's plan was truly meticulous. Not only did he take everyone in this place hostage to get Dominic, but he prepared another plan if things didn't go his way.
That was Dominic's children and parents.
"One last time…" Grandma Zhu breathed out as she closed her eyes. When she reopened her eyes, she glanced over her shoulder to look at Primo. "Stop this right now. I'll give you everything you want with the condition my great-grandchildren are safe and my son and daughter-in-law as well."
"My dearest Old Madam Zhu, how many times do I have to tell you I'm no longer interested in your family?" Primo didn't even look at her as he jogged his way without taking a second break. "This entire plan for tonight is concocted by that idiot grandson of yours. My only participation here is sending some new people to assist him. If I took part in the planning, do you really think Dominic would have a chance?"
"What an arrogant man."
"I'm just honest, Old Madam Zhu." This time, Primo looked down with a smile. "I wanted to settle scores with Dominic, but I now realized I wanted nothing to do with him. He's quite tough, you know?"
Although Primo kept his smile until he set his eyes ahead, he couldn't forget that sight of Dominic when the latter unraveled his true nature. Dominic changed drastically. Dominic acted as if he was the same old, boring, and righteous man, but from Primo's perspective, the man had gone crazy already while pretending he was sane.
Primo could smell his same kind, after all. Which explained his immediate interest in Heaven Liu. That woman… truly smelled nice. But well, both Dominic and Heaven weren't worth it anymore. Primo failed once over a year ago, and this time, he was certain he would fail as well. He didn't want to keep pushing through this, especially when his interest was already diverted to someone else.
That person was worth it.
Compared to Dominic and Heaven and the entire Zhu family, this family was just a small fry. His current interest was set on something big — something… monumental, he believed.
"You're quite surprising, young man." Grandma Zhu broke her momentary silence as she took another deep breath. "I thought you were someone who wouldn't admit defeat so easily."
"Yes, I'm like that, Old Madam Zhu. However, I don't have too much pride in me, you see? If your grandson ended up killing that idiot Silas, then I'll even applaud him!" Primo mused. "I mean, he deserved the praise. That also means I will stop bothering the man. This is tiring."
"If you're telling the truth, then why are you taking me with you?"
Primo didn't answer immediately as he slowed down. When they reached the elevator, he pressed the top floor before he looked down at her.
"I don't need your grandson anymore and I don't want to settle the score. After all, he has a point. If there's anyone I should settle the score with, that should be the person who blew up my arm," he explained as he waited for the lift to open up. "However, I do understand you're old and growing asinine. Did you forget our discussion in the lounge room earlier?"
"I told you, young man. I don't know anything about the people you're talking about."
"Oh, come on." Primo chuckled with his lips closed. "Just tell me what you know. If you do, then I won't take you with me! But you're making our lives a little more complicated."
Grandma Zhu huffed as she gazed at the closed elevator in front of her. "Even if you kill me, my answer will always be the same. I don't know this woman named Hera Cruel or anything about this Cruel Family. I have no idea what Bear Cruel had anything to do with them as well. All I know is the late general recommended him to my grandson. That's it."
"Well, fine." Primo rolled his eyes, snapping them as the door before them parted open. "I'm not in a rush, anyway. We'll have plenty of time to discuss it."
With that being said, Primo wheeled Old Madam Zhu inside the lift, taking her with her to leave this place.
