[Bonus chapter] best uncle

Meanwhile…1

Princess huffed as she went back to the residence's main entrance. She stopped in her steps, staring at the piling-up gifts in the entrance. She already carried tons of them in the room where Heaven and Baby Miracle were.

"Dang… this is a lot…" Just then, Gray's voice came from her side.

Princess glanced at Gray for a moment, only to see the latter panting for air. Princess wasn't the only person who was carrying the gifts. Since these gifts were a lot, they had to take the rest in another room. A day wasn't enough for the Zhu couple to open all of them. Unless they wanted to exhaust Heaven.

"I never thought it would be this much," murmured Gray, clicking his tongue. "Whoever sent this is crazy."

"Then, you're crazy." Princess peeled her eyes from Gray, setting them back on the stocked-up gifts. "Didn't you ask the old man for permission to send these?"

"Huh?"

"You don't have to deny it. If anything, I think this is your karma. You ordered this much, and now suffer. Carry all of them to the other room." Princess maintained a poker face, planning on carrying two more batches and then yeet.

Although Princess often took pride in her job, this was something Gray had to settle himself. How could he buy so much for a 3-month-old baby?! Princess understood that it was Gray's only way to make peace with the young madam, but she couldn't tolerate this display.

Gray just went on a shopping spree without using his brain. And now, everyone was just suffering. She could still understand if he bought ten presents, but an entire truck?! He must be truly insane.

"But…" Gray pouted as he glanced at the gifts. "As an uncle, it's only right to give my nephew and niece gifts."

Princess arched a brow. "Nephew?"

"Mhm! Basti." Gray blinked. "He's already four — turning five in a few months. Imagine how many birthdays, Christmas, New Year's, and other celebrations I missed. Counting all of them, including this new baby, the gifts I bought can fill those times of absence."

"..."

Princess's expression died, watching Gray count with his fingers. "In other words, it's not that you didn't use your brain. But rather, you used it too much and ended up filling an entire truck?"

"Well…" Gray sported a conflicted look, seeing that more gifts were coming. Some bodyguards and maids were already helping, but still, it seemed it wasn't enough. "... did I overdo it?"

"You did." A sigh slipped past her lips but didn't dwell on it. "Let's just help them. Maybe, if we stopped complaining, this will be over."

"Hehe." Gray smiled as he followed Princess to help everyone find a place for these gifts. However, just as they were stacking up the gifts to carry them all at once, they caught another truck coming into the driveway.

"Huh?" Princess furrowed her brows as she straightened her back, stretching her neck to see better. "There's… another one?"

Gray stopped and looked at her. Seeing that Princess was staring at something in horror, he turned his head. The small gift in his hands fell as his mouth fell open. Not just him, but the people outside unloading the first truck also froze. The several servants and bodyguards inside also stopped with wide eyes. Some of them dropped the gifts in their hands, seeing another truck following behind.

Their color drained in an instant as if they all saw something horrifying.

"No…" whispered a servant in horror, shaking her head. "No more…"

Everyone felt their hearts sink, imagining how their days would be. Not that they were all lazy. However, doing chores around the house for the servants was better. Meanwhile, for the bodyguards, it was much better to be in the field than carry loads of gifts and find enough storage for them.

Just who in their right mind would send trucks of gifts?!

"Hey!" Gray snapped at Princess defensively, shaking his head. He then whispered yelled, "That's not from me!"

"Then who is this crazy bastard…" Princess trailed off as she caught a person from the corner of her eyes. Her face turned grim as she glanced at the person, only to see Axel sprinting his way from the stairs.

"Are those my gifts?!" Axel excitedly sprinted toward the main entrance, standing in front of the piles of gifts. "Eh?! You guys unloaded it so fast!"

Amused by everyone's skills and efficiency, his lips stretched from ear to ear. But when he looked up, he flinched at the countless pairs of glowing eyes from everyone.

"Wha — what?" he stuttered nervously. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

So he was the culprit?

This second young master…

"Uh…" Axel gulped, hearing the crackles of fire from everyone. "Come on, guys. Don't look at me like that. Since I'm the favorite uncle, I should spoil my babies. You guys understand me, right?"

'Favorite uncle?!' Gray's eyes burned, only to get smacked by Princess. "Ouch."

Gray rubbed the back of his head and then glared at Princess. The latter, however, was already staring at Axel.

"Second young master, these are not your gifts. I believe yours just came." Princess jerked her chin toward the main door.

"Huh?" Confused, Axel hurriedly walked to the side to check two other trucks behind the one that was being currently unloaded. The moment he saw two trucks, he gasped. "Who in their right mind sent an entire truck of gifts who weren't uncle?!"

The audacity.

For everyone, those three trucks were from him. If not, then two trucks were from him.

Axel shivered as he felt a dread crept up his spine. He twisted his neck to look back slowly, like a rusting robot, only to see the glowing eyes behind him. At this moment, he felt like everyone just became a predator staring at their prey.

"Heh… guys… all of those weren't mine," he explained nervously. "Don't be like that."

"Second young master, we know you are simply expressing your love for the young princess. But you also need to think of those who were doing extra work." Princess coldly remarked. "You should help us, at least."

"Eh?"

"Come on." Gray suddenly tossed a box to Axel, which the latter caught on instinct. "This effort will not compare to the exhaustion the Young Madam and Master will experience while unboxing everything."

Axel didn't remember agreeing with everyone, but he ended up carrying boxes and boxes of gifts, just like everyone else.
