[Bonus chapter]I’m not a gun for hire.

"Well, well, well. If this isn't fate, I don't know what is! My first day after my suspension, and I see you fucking around again, Director Zhu!"0

Tiger smiled from ear to ear until his teeth were on full display, revealing his small canines. His eyes moved from Silas to Axel, and then Axel to Silas. What a sight to behold!

"At this point, I think you're stalking me." Silas scoffed, keeping Axel still because he knew once he let go of Axel, the man would go berserk. He didn't want to hurt Axel physically. Not now.

"I'm not stalking you… well, you can say I saw you through the security monitor." Tiger winked, smiling. "And in my head, I was like, 'Oh, damn. I missed this guy! The best punching bag ever!'"

Silas's face turned red as his grip on Axel's wrist tightened. "You're really cheeky, aren't you?"

Ding.

The elevator rang as its doors slowly closed in. Tiger slid his foot in the middle, making the door open once again.

"Let the second young master go, Director Zhu," Tiger asked politely, but his smile this time didn't reach his eyes anymore. "When I beat you up, I was told not to cause trouble like that again. Or else, CEO Zhu will press charges. So, I have to earn more brownie points before I fuck you up again."

"Hah!"

"Oops! Don't be mad!" Tiger raised his hands on either side of him as a gesture of surrender. "Tomorrow is the company's anniversary. Just think about it, Director Zhu. If I romance you again, I'm sure, this time, I won't get disciplinary action. I can just tell that I was trying to protect the second young master, right?"

"Stay out of this, Tiger!" Axel yelled. "I'm going to kill this guy!"

Tiger glanced at Axel and chuckled. "How cute, but second young master, can you please not cause a scene? It's already humiliating that you're losing the fight you pick! A strategic retreat to save the dignity you have left wouldn't hurt much."

Axel hissed at Tiger, but the man was indifferent about it. Tiger slowly shifted his attention to Silas, glancing at the man's grip on the second young master's wrist.

'Not bad,'he thought, but not impressed. 'Do that to the people I know, and he would have lost his foot.'

"Director Zhu," Tiger called, and his short smile returned. "So? Do you want to continue this assault? Or will you let the second young master go? I mean, as the head of security, I am authorized to impose peace in this building. It doesn't matter how I would do it, you know?"

Silas's expression turned darker and grimmer. His jaw tightened, keeping his burning eyes on Tiger. Surely, the disciplinary action Tiger faced and his suspension weren't enough to change this man. If anything, it only made him more audaciously annoying. Much worse.

"Hah!" he huffed as he pushed himself away from Axel. He then took a few steps back, tugging the hem of his suit as he faced Tiger.

"Thank you, Director Zhu." Tiger smiled, taking a step to the side while motioning his hand to give way to Silas.

"Ugh…" Meanwhile, Axel felt his wrist ached as he wobbled to the corner. He glared at Silas and wanted to throw a punch at him, only to notice Tiger's side-eye.

"I let the last time slide because Dominic talked to me and apologized." Silas stopped in front of Tiger, turning his head to the side where Tiger was bowing. "If I were you, don't get this over your head. You're merely the head of security; you're dispensable. If you disappear out of thin air, no one will wonder what happened."

Tiger smiled, uncurling his back to face Silas.

"I am Silas Zhu," Silas stressed. "Even without the surname, I can deal with you and shred that arrogance of yours into pieces. I take grudges very seriously."

After saying his piece quietly but clearly to Tiger, Silas walked away. His eyes, however, revealed he hadn't let this matter go. Triggering and provoking Axel was something he did out of fun. After all, Axel had always mocked him in the past. It was the perfect time to provoke him, considering Axel was all alone.

However, Tiger was a different subject. This head of security surely touched Silas' nerves in a way the latter would want him dead.

'I'll kill you.'Silas slowly balled his hand into a tight fist, eyes burning in fury as he stormed through the corridor. The corner of his mouth, however, curled up at the evil idea that crossed his mind.

"Man, what an evil guy!" Tiger exclaimed before arching a brow and turning his attention back to the lift. When he did, he caught Axel trying to fix his posture. Axel was holding his wrist delicately, making Tiger sigh.

"Second young master, hadn't you learned your lesson?" he remarked with disappointment. "Do you really think if you challenge that guy in a brawl, you would win? That guy is quite trained, you know? I'm surprised you don't know that!"

"What do you know!?" Axel hissed, clicking his tongue in irritation. However, he didn't vent his anger to Tiger, calming down slightly. "Damn him! I didn't initiate it! He provoked me!"

Tiger sighed. "I believe you," he said as he walked inside the lift. He stood beside Axel, eyes falling on his wrist. "It's not broken, is it?"

"No." Axel huffed, glaring daggers at the closing door. "That guy… I'm going to kill him."

"Oh? How are you going to do that?"

"I don't know!" Axel harrumphed in frustration. "All I know is I will do it someday! I won't let this slide. Not when I know he has something to do with what happened to me a year ago. I will never forgive him — he even blackmailed me! He should die!"

Tiger had his brows raised as he watched Axel throw a huge fit until he was panting. The corner of his lips stretched from ear to ear and, without further ado, he raised his arm. His arm then fell across Axel's shoulder, tugging the man closer.

"Second young master, I don't know what he did to you, but do you really want him dead?" Tiger wiggled his brows while Axel looked up at him. Tiger's arm was still over his shoulder, holding him in a friendly headlock.

"What — what's with that question?" Axel stuttered as his anger subsided, feeling like talking to Tiger right now was akin to having a deal with the devil himself. "I'm not paying you to kill him."

"Come on, dude." Tiger grinned. "I'm not a gun for hire, man."

"You look one right now, though. You're scaring me."

"Hehe." Tiger chuckled, looking back at Axel knowingly. "Just wait, second young master. At this point, you're like my little brother. So I'll make sure you land a punch in his face at least once. Trust me. I got you."

Axel looked at Tiger strangely, but the man was just grinning like a devil. Just what was this man planning?
