Time passed slowly for the majority, but for some, it was fast. Once everyone gets out of the venue, that would mean it would be Dominic and some people's demise. It was their turn to face some sort of 'retribution.'2

"Get out!" 

Nearing the venue's exit, some masked men pushed people out aggressively. One of them who was pushed outside was Ivy Wei.

"Ah!" Ivy nearly tripped at the aggressive push from her side, making her look back at the man with a hiss. However, she couldn't really retaliate as she had to move forward, not hold up the line. 

"Hah…" when she walked out and created distance from the exit, she snapped her eyes up to the establishment. Now that she thought about it, there should be some more security. The Wei Family doesn't only offer a place for companies to spend their events in this place, but also, security. 

"God," she whispered once more, clutching her hand closer to her chest. "Please keep everyone safe until help comes."

She bit her bottom lip out of habit, peeling her eyes from the establishment with a heavy heart. Some of the people she knew and even her friends were still inside. Since Ivy was able to get out, she should do something. She couldn't just watch and do nothing. 

She got her freedom to do something else. Even if her keys and phone were confiscated, she had to do something to help. 

Just as Ivy picked up her steps, she heard a voice from somewhere. She turned her head, catching something shiny under the moonlight. Deep lines appeared between her brows as she could hear the man yelling. 

"Who else is here?!" Mr. Yang screamed in front of some people, moving his index as he counted the people before him. 

"Senior Yu and Ms. Li were at the back of the line!" said someone from the crowd in front of him. "There's still…"

People started out giving names to the people in their department who weren't still with them outside the venue. In this situation, Mr. Yang and everyone should go on their own. But Mr. Yang didn't want to cause more traffic and, as the head of their department, he wanted to make sure everyone was safe.

"Sir, Pepsi is still not here!" 

Mr. Yang furrowed his brows as he looked at the person who mentioned Pepsi. He snapped his eyes at the entrance where everyone was making their exit with masked men guarding either side of it. Just before the lights went out, Mr. Yang was still with her. He even saw Silas holding Heaven as she lost her balance. 

However, when the performance started, Silas and Heaven were already gone. Mr. Yang would look for them, but because of what happened, he completely forgot about her. Now that they mentioned her, he couldn't help but wonder if that mischievous errand girl was fine. 

Meanwhile, Ivy also furrowed her brows. Heaven told her that her colleagues were calling her by a different name, but she didn't bother correcting them. After all, her workmates kept telling her she really looked like the celebrity named Heaven Liu. They kept telling her they were like twins! If not for the fact Heaven Liu was a celebrity and there wasn't any need for her to work in the Lyon Group, aside from being the company's ambassador, they would question Heaven's denial. 

"Right." Ivy's heart thudded as she panicked, looking back at the establishment behind her. "She's also here."

It also slipped Ivy's mind about Heaven. She hadn't seen Heaven yet the entire night, but now that she thought about it, Heaven was surely inside. Knowing her friend, she would've stayed because her husband was making a huge sacrifice.

"I need to go," she told herself, picking up her pace to her car while ignoring Mr. Yang's loud voice while doing another headcount. 

"OUT!"

Despite the distance she already created, Ivy still heard a man's shouts. She stopped on instinct, scared out of her wits as she felt that command was for her. But when she looked back, she caught the masked man pushing a man out. 

It was the last person in the long line. 

The masked men stood tall in their height. Even though everyone couldn't see their eyes behind that mask properly, they felt the masked men's gazes at them. It was as though the men scanned the crowd and the little space outside the venue.

Everyone, including Ivy, stood frozen in their spots, afraid these men would start shooting them. They kept their eyes on the armed men warily, hearing their hearts thud loudly against their chests, holding their breaths on instinct. 

They could only sigh in relief when the men started going in one after another. When the last two men stepped in, they held the doors and looked back at the crowd. After one second, they shut the door with a loud thud. As soon as the door closed, the two armed men who were left behind to guard it faced all of them with their rifles clinging across their bodies. 

"Let's go." A person's voice caressed Ivy's ears, snapping her back to the current lapse. 

Ivy shook her head as she instinctively glanced around. The crowd started moving and if she stood still, she would be swayed by the crowd. Thus, using every bit of her strength, she squeezed herself into the tight crowd to make her way to her car. 

Since there were currently a few hundred people flocking outside the venue, it took her some time to get to her car. At this moment, Ivy forgot she didn't have keys and her car was locked. 

"Shit!" she hissed at her first attempt to open the driver's seat. "How…"

She shut her eyes to think about what to do. After several seconds, she snapped her eyes open. Ivy immediately bent down, undoing the ties of her heels. Without wasting a breath, Ivy slammed the stiletto against the window, only for it to fly away.
