I don't need your best
Heaven's biggest fear was that something terrible would happen to her family. That fear haunted her even in her sleep. 1
And now...
"Did you just say... someone... took my son?"
Her heart clenched as she instinctively held her breath, eyes wide at Butler Fu. At this very second, Heaven's only prayer was for Butler Fu to say it was a prank. Even though that was very unlikely; Butler Fu wasn't the type of person to humor people in such a crass way.
"I'm sorry, Young Madam." Butler Fu lowered his head, unable to hide the bitterness plastered on his face.
"No…"
"Sis!"
Just then, Axel's voice erupted in the greenhouse. He panted for air as he stood by the entrance, eyes shaking as they searched for Heaven. The moment his gaze landed on her pale face, his lips quivered as he clenched his teeth.
"Sis!" Axel stormed in her direction and, without further ado, pulled her into his embrace. "It's okay! It's okay!"
For a moment, those two words were the only sentence he could chant. He patted her back with his trembling hand, tightening his embrace to calm her shaking body.
"Axel…" Heaven slowly clutched his back, trying to catch her skipping breaths. "Basti… is it true?"
His face crumpled, teeth clenched. When Axel heard the news, he immediately rushed back home on instinct. He didn't go to the hospital where his parents were, nor did he go to the police station to hear the details.
The first thing that crossed his mind was Heaven. It was not like there was anything he could do for his parents, and for sure, Dominic was already there. However, he was worried about how Heaven would react once the word reached her ears.
His sister-in-law was pregnant, after all.
Once she heard that Sebastian got into an accident and was abducted, there was no telling what Heaven would do. Axel was worried.
"Sis…" he called through his gritted teeth. His voice sounded muffled.
At this point, Bear also arrived in the greenhouse. The first thing he saw was Axel holding Heaven in his embrace. The latter had a pale complexion, eyes barely blinking as if her mind went blank.
'Boss…' Bear's heart clenched as he slowly balled his hands into a tight fist.
"My brother is already handling it…" said Axel, patting her back reassuringly. "It's okay. Basti will be fine… for sure."
No.
Heaven mentally shook her head, breathing a jagged breath until she winced.
"Ugh…" Heaven clenched her teeth as she felt a striking pain in her stomach. "Ouch…"
"Sis?"
Heaven clutched his back tighter, resting her forehead on his shoulder. "Axel… my stomach hurts… the baby…" her already pale complexion drained until she was white as a sheet.
Axel turned his head and instinctively caught her body when he felt her weight. "Sis!" he exclaimed as his pupils dilated, holding Heaven so the latter wouldn't fall.
"Butler Fu!" he yelled in panic. "Bear! My sister!"
His yelling snapped Butler Fu and Bear back to the current lapse, prompting them to rush to Heaven as she fainted.

CRASH!
Dominic's face was dark as he gripped the tablet, watching the CCTV footage of the accident. No one needed to use their brain to know this wasn't a mere accident, but an intentional one.
"These people…" the chief of police who was reviewing the footage with Dominic also had a grim expression. 'Even when I already watched it, watching it again still makes me sick.'
Both men were standing in the hallway in front of the surgery room of the city hospital. Bodyguards and police were guarding the place.
Seeing the footage, both men felt a knot in their stomachs. Currently, four people have been admitted to the hospital. Lionel and Ria Zhu were the two people in those four. The other one was the driver and then the lady guard who had the most injuries of all.
"If the car didn't make a sudden turn…" the chief of police — the middle-aged man in uniform — trailed off as he assessed the footage. "I don't think the passengers would even make it to the hospital."
It might sound a little insensitive, but that was the truth. For sure, Dominic already knew that based on the direction the other vehicle was going to crash into. If the vehicle where Zhu's didn't react on time, Lionel Zhu might've died on the spot.
Even so, Lionel and Ria were still in critical condition.
Aside from those facts, the chief of police couldn't help but glance at Dominic. His eyes then landed on the tablet in Dominic's hands. The footage showed how some men in masks dragged two boys out of the vehicle, and then followed by the scene, which surprised the Chief the most.
When the other vehicle sped away, the front passenger door suddenly flew open. Coming out of it was the already injured and bleeding female lady guard. The metal that was plunged deep into the side of her leg bled uncontrollably, but Princess didn't seem as hurt as she appeared.
From the looks of it, she was planning to go after the abductors. However, she stopped after three steps and looked back. Despite her injuries, Princess efficiently made a phone call before checking Lionel and Ria Zhu.
When the ambulance came, Princess didn't let anyone treat her. Instead, she stole a nearby car. Yes. That was what happened.
"I've been serving the nation for many years, but I've never seen anything like this," said the chief of police as the footage reached the part where Princess stole a car. "That lady guard is amazing. If not for the current circumstance, I would've taken time to admire her resilience and determination to save the little master."
The chief of police took a deep breath, gazing at Dominic's side profile. "If not for her, we would've started from scratch. However, not only did she chase after the abductors under such a state, she was able to catch one of them."
"Mr. Zhu, our department is already on it. We're already interrogating the suspect," he continued, planting a hand on Dominic's shoulder. "Rest assured we'll do our best in —"
"I don't need your best, Chief." Dominic closed his eyes as he drew a deep breath.
When Dominic reopened his eyes, he turned his head and faced the chief of police. "I want my son back before the day ends… where is that person right now?"
