Not Just Essence Liquid

"Where's Feng Wu? Where is she?"1

"She fell into that hole in the ground! I saw it!"

Fell?

Where?

There should only be rocks beneath the layer of essence crystals. What could she have fallen into?

Elder Helian didn't care about that. All he knew was that his favorite girl was missing.

The next second, he disappeared from the spot.

Everybody watched as the cracks widened, but they were only limited to the area within the mine. The ground outside remained intact.

For instance, the area where Elder Dongfang and her people were standing was perfectly fine.

"Come over here!" Elder Wu told everybody to move away from that area.

Elder Helian had gone to help Feng Wu. The others had better stay out of his way.

Yang Zhihu was worried sick as he looked at the hole in which Feng Wu had disappeared.

Feng Wu was such a lovely girl. Yes, she ate a lot, but that was her only shortcoming. Why was she still hungry?

Seeing Feng Wu fall into that hole, Dongfang Ziyun was exhilarated. She almost jumped to her feet.

"Feng Wu is dead! She must be!"

But…

She heard the sound of rippling water.

Was there water under this mine?

Did that mean Feng Wu would survive? The smile froze on Dongfang Ziyun's face.

The cracks continued to widen.

Thump…

The drained essence crystals fell into the hole in large chunks, like pieces of iceberg falling into the ocean.

The essence crystals made splashing sounds as they fell.

"So, there's water underneath." Dongfang Ziyun pursed her lips and whispered, "I wonder if there's a powerful whirlpool…"

If there was, Feng Wu might still die.

The idea excited her. She wanted to share it with her aunt but stopped halfway.

Her aunt didn't seem too happy.

When Dongfang Ziyun looked at the other elders, she realized their faces had darkened as well.

What was going on?

She suddenly felt uneasy.

Dongfang Ziyun looked at the elders of Imperial College and saw Elder Wu's cheeks trembling.

"Aunt…" Dongfang Ziyun grabbed her aunt's hand, feeling her knees weaken. "What's wrong? Isn't that a dark green river?"

Elder Dongfang held Dongfang Ziyun's hand. Blue veins popped on the back of her hand from agitation.

The grip was so tight that Dongfang Ziyun was in tears.

"Is that an essence liquid river?" Elder Dai asked in a shaking voice.

Essence liquid? Was that liquified essence crystals? Was it easier to absorb than essence crystals? Dongfang Ziyun was so jealous that her eyes spat fire.

In fact, all the elders of the Military Academy felt the same way.

Elder Dongfang's lips trembled as she said, "It's not just essence liquid."

More than essence liquid?

"What is it?"

Everybody, including the elders of Imperial College, looked at Elder Dongfang curiously.
