Cottage of Secrets

"This is a cottage of secrete, containing the secrets of our world," said Patriarch Bradford as we were appearing in the small cottage by a waterfall.

The cottage is simple; there is no artistic engraving or the fluctuation of energy, but I could feel a very powerful feeling of threat emanating from it. I am not the only one who feels that; Lady Atkins also felt that, given how her pupils contracted as she scanned the cottage with her soul sense.

"Follow me," said Patriarch, and we walked toward the cottage; only three of us here, Supreme Commander and Lord Singh, had left for the central command.

We walked by a small stream from the waterfall and soon reached the cottage; Patriarch Bradford gently pushed open the door and walked inside.

To my surprise, the normal space inside is not spatially enlarged as I thought it would be. Though it is nearly packed with things, carefully banded books, 99% of them from our world, I have read enough to tell, and if I am not wrong, then they are likely the words left behind by our powerhouses.

I have heard about this place and have always been very curious about it, especially the words left behind for those who departed.

"This place contains the deepest secrets of the world, from the very dangerous ruins to the unbelievable things our most powerful powerhouses have discovered," 

"You might even read something that will seize your heart in terror and give you nightmares in days to come, so be careful about what you read," said Patriarch before he walked out of the cottage, leaving us with a room full of world's greatest secrets.

I wish I could take these books inside my core, but I could sense; they are covered in an extremely powerful formation against which even my shields would fail.

I looked at all the things inside, and while the majority are books, there are also crystals and scrolls and some more; over the past thousands of years, the culture change evolved, not to mention one's preference.

With magic, one could immensely amount of data in a single strand of hair.

There are thousands of books here, but two people have left more than anyone else; Ramona hawthorn and her excellency Roosevelt.

While I was staring, Lady Atkins picked up the book; seeing that, I did too, but not one, but twelve of them. Seeing that, even Lady Atkins had raised her eye.

I gave her a smile before turning to the books.

The twelve books opened together in front of me, and at the same time, a violet runic formation opened my eyes. A moment later, the pages of the books begin to turn, one after another, without stopping.

After what happened in the door of celestial inheritance, I have created a special method to read faster. 

I would encounter many places where I could not be able to take things away and would need a way to read books faster, and this method is for that.

The method is just one part; the second is my clone; I am not just copying the knowledge in these books but simultaneously understanding them. These books do not contain some archaic runic formulas that I need to think about; they are mostly experiences written by predecessors.

In the few seconds, I began to read, I was shocked by what I had read, not just by instance in one book, but several of them.

'These books really have some scary stuff,' I said to myself as I continued to read the books.

In less than five minutes, I had finished reading the twelve books, and others came; the moment the book was finished, others replaced it, wasting not even a second.

Time passed, and before I knew it, an hour had passed, and I had already finished reading over five hundred books. As passing time, I have increased the number of books I am reading; it is all theory and experiences, and right now, I am reading twenty-six books at the time.

Which is a challenge to even my clone.

Thank God for the time flow in the core, which makes this possible; it wouldn't be possible in real time.

Five more hours passed, and I had finished reading over four thousand books, that now only a shelf of Ramona Hawthorn and her excellency had remained, and when the space opened, I immediately took the books from the shelf.

I have been shocked thousands of times in the past few hours that I have sort of become numb to them; I thought, with me knowing all the secrets, nothing could move me, but I was very wrong. 

The first book I read shocked me to my core, and from there, I received a shock, so many shocks at every level that I began to categorize them from a tremor level to an earthquake level, and there are many earthquake-level secrets in these books.

The biggest secrets are the hidden ones, the world-destroying level. They are secrets, hidden within the secrets, hidden so well that very few would be able to unearth them.

While Ramona Hawthorn was straightforward, her excellency is a kind of wordsmith. I don't think many people would be able to find them, and those who did will never share because these secrets are for those who could find them, those who could not have no right of knowing them.1

The gravity they hold is immense; in my current capacity, I would not dare to tell that to anyone.

As I read more, the more secrets I came to know, and the one thing that shocked me most was the mysteriousness of the world. It was bigger than I imagined, with many things to explore.

Now, I want to kill the Grimms even more; they have no right to be in this world, and the sooner we exterminate them, the better it will be.

I will try my all for that, more than ever.
