In Egon's chambers (part 4)

"Are you finished?" she said, her breath coming fast and heavy.0

He appeared anything but finished.

Taking her hand in his, he brought her palm to his lips once more, planting a lingering kiss as if savoring an invisible elixir from her skin.

Instead of suppressing the tingling sensation that spread across her body, she allowed herself to embrace it fully this time.

He lowered her hand, and a wide, gleaming smile adorned his face as he placed her hand against his incredibly ripped and muscled abdomen, observing her expression with intensity.

Her eyes lingered on the spot where her hand rested for a few seconds.

"I'll discover all your preferences in due course," he assured her.

The sweetness of his words compelled her to press a little harder on his stomach, causing him to tense beneath her touch. It was impossible, but his muscle tissues seemed to grow even firmer.

Her gaze remained fixated on his.

"Do you find me attractive?" he inquired.

She wished he wouldn't ask her that question.

Egon chuckled.

"I can almost sense what you feel through the bond, and I can read you completely," he said, affirming what she had suspected before. "What I see clearly with these eyes is the circulation of your blood, and I hear the frantic beating of your heart." He smiled wickedly, "You can't hide what I do to you away from me."

"I find you extremely attractive," she confessed, though he had already told her that he knew. "But what attracts me to you isn't only physical," she whispered, her pitch slightly higher than usual, as if trying to defend herself. She looked away from him.

"Let's focus on the physical aspects for now. Why don't you feast your eyes on me, hm?"

He placed his free hand in her hair, twisting his fingers into her waves and bending closer to her. "Or are you really not that attracted to me?"

In an instant, she pulled his face to hers and initiated the kiss this time. It was done with a strange ferocity, and a low, unfamiliar moan escaped from her throat. The sound he made in response set a hot sensation that burnt like wildfire, running through her body.

They were driving each other crazy.

He released her lips and moved back, leaning against the headboard while sitting up, he looked as if he couldn't get her pressed against him fast enough.

She heard her own sharp intake of breath as he yanked her, but it was as if the gasp and her arm had belonged to someone else. His haggard breath was much rougher than hers as she sat over him.

"I'm glad I got rid of my shirt… Just as I am glad that your dress is still on you."

In this situation, she couldn't care less about proper conduct. Was there a sane cell in her that remembered the need to postpone progress?

She thought he was going to kiss her once more, but he pressed his forehead against hers, panting heavily.

She gathered her breath and mustered the courage to address the situation. "We should talk about this," she finally said, her voice still trembling with desire. "Perhaps... perhaps you are overestimating your self-control... Perhaps this is wrong," she managed to finish.

"If this is wrong then right can go to hell," he mumbled quickly then crushed their lips together again.

She savored his taste, a unique, fiery taste that spread across her tongue, and she could feel the softness of his lips contrasting with the hard, tense muscles beneath her breasts. Each breath seemed to ignite her senses, making her hyper-aware of every sensation. It was as if everything was intensified, and she could experience every part of Egon all at once.

The new and intense feelings were transforming her, shaping her into someone different. In this moment, she truly saw Egon for who he was, appreciating every detail of his handsome face and every scar on his masculine body. Every bit of him was hers, and she reveled in the profound connection they shared.

His body and hers drifted down, tangling into one on the comfortable, dark sheets of his extra-large bed.

Somewhere in between the mind-blowing kisses they shared, she tensed and shivered, feeling the same pulsating sensations she felt in the carriage between her thighs, even without any grinding against him.

"Yes...That's it..." He breathed in her ear, igniting another shiver that brought more pulses to her core, "The possibilities are endless."

The moment he withdrew his lips from her ear, she instinctively tilted her neck, eyes closed in appreciation, and when she eventually opened her eyes to meet his gaze, he was fixated on her neck.

"You emit a delightful scent of jasmine," he murmured, entranced by her presence. "I will always want to bite you."

In her disoriented state, the question slipped from her lips the moment it came to mind.

"What would happen if you did?"

His eyebrows furrowed, and a moan escaped him, causing her heart to leap into her mouth.

How much was he struggling to suppress his inhuman urges?

"Are we really discussing this?" His question carried an edge of conflict in his ruby eyes.

"Is it strange that I want to know?"

"Adelaide."

His serious tone was sobering.

"Yes?"

"I'll explain what would happen, but it's a moot point since we'll never have to face it as a couple, not while you are promised to me, and not after you become my wife."

She nodded, fully attentive.

"If I ever drink your blood," he swallowed, then took a deep breath, "My transformation would be complete, and I would become like Andreas—a vampire."

"You don't want that," she guessed.

He frowned, "…You should be more concerned about what it would mean for you."

She mirrored his frown, "That's obvious. I would enter the state you're currently in."

"You're a Healer… I don't think it has been tried before. No, I'm sure it hasn't been tried before."

She wasn't sure how she felt about it before hearing the answer, but upon hearing it, she was quite sure that she didn't like it. Uncertainties were results she had always shied away from; she tried to avoid making decisions that led her into the unknown.

Egon von Conradie was a huge exception to that rule.

His very existence was a journey into uncharted territory, and yet, she found herself drawn to him in a way she couldn't resist. He was a mystery, a contradiction of darkness and vulnerability, and she couldn't help but want to unravel every layer of him.
