After the assistant was done making the calls, he finally noticed Huo Tingrui's reaction and automatically looked at the box on the ground.

Since the box was hurled onto the ground previously, its seal had already split open. The assistant squatted and went through it cautiously. The moment he caught sight of its contents, a solemn look appeared on his face.

The box contained a few ordinary bricks. However, they were drenched in blood making them piercingly red. The smell of blood was so intense that it was nauseating.

The assistant nearly could not control himself and retched before quickly closing the box.

In the legal world, it was normal to encounter people to get angry after losing their cases. In the heat of the moment, people often blamed it on the lawyer. In some instances, some of them ended up threatening the lawyers.

Huo Tingrui exhaled. He glanced at the things on the ground and said deeply, "I know."

"Then what should we do? That was just the first court session for the appeal. If this went on…" The assistant did not dare imagine the kind of threats they will continue encountering because of this case. They might even end up paying the price in blood.
