Qi Hui glanced at Prof Liu. He was unacquainted with Yuan Huan and had never heard his name before. Judging from Prof Liu's reaction, it was clear that Yuan Huan was no ordinary man.2

He went quiet before he said, "Prof Zhao used to be very hands-off about the department. Why has he suddenly taken an interest in our research?"

Prof Liu sneered. "Who knows."

"Is he competing for the medal of honor?" asked Qi Hui suddenly.

Each year, there would be an evaluation process in the university. Professors or fellows would get selected to receive a medal of honor. It was even more prestigious than getting promoted.

It was the same idea as receiving a medal of honor in the army.

Prof Liu pursed his lips without saying a word, but everything was written on his face.

Qi Hui's words had clearly struck a chord in his heart.

After Qi Hui left Prof Liu's office, he got someone to deliver the approved funding request form to Liu Qian.

Even after receiving the approval in his hand, Liu Qian was in disbelief.

He knew that he had offended Mr. Qi previously, so the funding application process would never go smoothly. Even if the funding was approved, he would not receive it so quickly.

He could not help feeling surprised when he received the approval.

Before long, he snapped out of his shock and texted Dai Jie and the others about the good news after he received the funding from the finance department.

Everyone was equally delighted. Huo Yao was the only person who was unsurprised that the funding had gone smoothly.

Liu Qian created a chat and added each research team member to it.

Dai Jie, Tang Jun, and Wang Jing did not have Huo Yao's number yet, so they quickly saved it.

Everyone had a great impression of their cute and pretty junior and was determined to take good care of her.

Everyone would often ask Huo Yao if she needed help. Huo Yao did not know whether to cry or laugh.

Sometime after the research teams were formed, Liu Qian asked to see them in the biological computing room.

Since AL research was a new subject for them, brand new special computers had to be purchased. Today, all the equipment was finally installed there.

After testing the equipment, Liu Qian sent the technical team away before getting the students to familiarize themselves with the new equipment.

There were four computers in total. Huo Yao turned on one of the computers and took a look at it. Although it could not compare to Zhao Lian's biological computer, it was good enough to conduct AL research.

In comparison to her calmness, Dai Jie and the others looked as though they were touching some precious treasure when they handled their respective computers.

"As expected, a professional computer is far better than our old computers!" Tang Jun exclaimed in surprise the moment he turned on the new device and tapped on the biological software.

Dai Jie glanced at Tang Jun slightly more calmly. "AL has a massive amount of data. Normal computers would never work in such situations."

Wang Jing tapped on the keyboard and tutted before she turned to look at Huo Yao.

Huo Yao was simply looking at the new computer without trying it out. Wang Jing finally recalled that Huo Yao was not good at computing. She promptly cleared her throat, pushed her chair towards Huo Yao.

She went beside Huo Yao and said, "Just use it like it is an ordinary computer."

Huo Yao raised her head speechlessly.
