Huo Yao pressed her brow. She suddenly felt it was a bad idea to stop unblocking Shangguan Yun's number.

After receiving the text message, Shangguan Yun composed a text message telling Huo Yao that she was a very smart woman and had recently made a large sum of money. Huo Yao went out to meet Meng Ying as planned a couple of days later.

She did not want to go for a walk, so the two of them made plans to rendezvous at a restaurant serving high tea.

"You look so different. Also, you've lost a lot of weight!" After they were done taking their orders and the waiter had left, Meng Ying made a passing remark.

Huo Yao raised her brow with a solemn look on her face. "In theory, if you're observant by nature, you shouldn't keep failing at school in your first term."

She had just checked out her social media and saw a post containing a screenshot of Meng Ying's term results.

Meng Ying covered her face. She was more or less immune due to her cousin's meanness, but she could not help feeling embarrassed when it came from Huo Yao.

She cleared her throat and made an excuse. "It's normal to fail some subjects, right? It's all part and parcel of university life."

Huo Yao smiled ambiguously at Meng Ying.

The waiter came in with a pot of tea interrupting the conversation. Meng Ying smiled sheepishly as she poured Huo Yao a cup of tea and changed the subject.

Meng Ying always followed gossip closely. Even though they had not seen each other in ages, she spoke candidly. "Oh yes. Do you know which university Lu Xia ended up attending?"

Huo Yao took a sip of tea. She did not expect Meng Ying to bring up Lu Xia. She paused and asked. "Where did she go?"

"She was in the same university as me. Also, she majored in computing just like me." Meng Ying pursed her lips and continued. "Strangely, she transferred somewhere else after studying for half a term."

Chen Ming had already reported about this when he investigated Lu Xia, so Huo Yao already knew about this. She simply nodded and acknowledged Meng Ying.

"I heard she transferred to an Ivy League school abroad and even changed courses. You should have seen the cocky look on her face when she left school." To this day, Meng Ying felt disgusted just thinking about the cocky and pretentious look on Lu Xia's face.

She was done discussing the topic after a while.
