Huo Yao's fingers froze in mid-air as she sighed and said, "This is too much. I can't accept it."

A junction appeared up ahead and the traffic lights turned red.

After Min Yu stepped on the brake and stopped the car, he turned to look at Huo Yao and said solemnly, "Trust me. They'll be happier if you accept the money."

Huo Yao looked at him with complicated emotions running through her heart.

She really had no idea that they were that rich.

Min Yu reached his hand out, took her phone, and accepted the money before returning the phone.

Huo Yao looked at the notifications appearing on her phone to accept the money. She felt a little awkward about taking their money, so she said uneasily, "This doesn't feel right. How could I take their money for no reason?"

Min Yu raised his brow and started the engine. He did not bring up the things she had done last night, or explain Zhuo Yun and Yang Yi's actions. He simply said, "It's only right for them to do this."

Huo Yao blinked as she looked at him. There was clearly more to this.

Before long, the car arrived at Tsing University.

Since the term had yet to start officially, the campus was quite empty and there were hardly any students around.

Huo Yao told Min Yu to leave before walking straight to the administrative office and heading to Liu Qian's office.

When she got there, she saw both Liu Qian and Zhao Lian in the room.

Liu Qian retrieved a heavy-looking envelope from a folder and handed it to Huo Yao. "This is the cash award from the institute."

Huo Yao took the envelope and smiled brightly. "Thanks. If you have any other projects in the future, please let me know."

Yang Yi and Zhuo Yun had just given her money and the cash award from the institute had also arrived. She was having quite the windfall on this day.

Liu Qian's lips twitched when he saw the smile on Huo Yao's face. He asked angrily. "Do projects without money count?"

After all, she was taking double majors!

Liu Qian shook his head. He had already seen this coming. "I know it isn't a lot of money, but this will look great on your resume and take you places."

Huo Yao waved her hand and placed the envelope into her bag.

She did not care about her resume. If she did not feel like working, she could inherit the family business anytime she wanted.

"Oh yes. Firstly, I called you back to school to talk to you about finishing your AI thesis. I want to submit it…"

Before Liu Qian was able to finish his sentence, Huo Yao interrupted him.

"Why don't you just get straight to your second point and leave the thesis to the other team members? I don't have the experience, so I'm not the best choice."

Huo Yao waved her hand as she spoke. She clearly could not be bothered to go through the hassle of writing the thesis.

Liu Qian cleared his throat awkwardly. He turned to look at Zhao Lian with a disappointed look on his face. "See? Just look at her."

Huo Yao went quiet.

Zhao Lian smiled. "Perhaps she has other plans."

"I know she's just lazy." Liu Qian had already seen through her act.

Huo Yao pressed her brow and said powerlessly, "Did you have to say it so bluntly?"
