J called her back. "Shall we have lunch?"

He wondered if J had a thing for Huo Yao.

J glanced at Huo Yao. He naturally did not mind eating there. "Of course. Can you remove me from the blacklist first?"

J heaved a sigh of relief. He paused and said shamelessly, "You have to add me on WeChat as well."

Huo Yao looked at him sideways. "Aren't you a hacker? Why bother using WeChat?"

"I'm afraid you might blacklist me again one day." J felt very worried inside.

Huo Yao scoffed out loud. She opened her WeChat and let him scan her QR code.

Liu Qian watched in shock as everything transpired until he finally snapped out of it. He could not help feeling curious. "Did you already know Mr. Meng?"

Huo Yao acknowledged softly without denying their relationship.

Sure enough, he was right!

Liu Qian's cheeks twitched. The news was far more jaw-dropping than discovering that Mr. Meng was the CEO of DO Corporation.

No wonder she was unintimidated when they brought up DO Corporation.

Even after the institute tried to steal the project, she remained calm. She was unafraid to argue with Mr. Meng publicly and already knew that no one would make her apologize. In hindsight, it was all because he was a personal acquaintance.

Qi Hui kept waiting until the call automatically got disconnected before he sighed in relief. However, he remained worried inside.
