When she had gotten changed, Zhou Huailing took her directly to the court. He had no intention of wasting any more time.

As he came to the court, he thought for a while and said, "Tell my mother about me speaking with father today. She has not seen you for a long time and you can tell her what happened today. When I am done, I will join you."

Gu Ruxue had the intention of tagging along, but since she had no idea what the King was thinking, she decided not to tag along in case the King turned her down and misunderstood her presence.

The King was very excited too. He put down the teacup and got out of his chair, approaching Zhou Huailing. "Are you sure?"

Zhou Huailing nodded with determination.

"I witnessed it with my own eyes!" Zhou Huailing looked full of happiness. He continued. "I am here for Ruxue's sake. Please, make Ruxue the only Princess Consort!"

As the proposal was mentioned, the King hesitated

He looked at Zhou Huailing seriously. "You are aware that the present Princess Consort of Lord Ling is the lineal daughter of General Liu right? If you are making Gu Ruxue the only Princess Consort, what are you planning to do with the present Princess Consort? General Liu should not be offended. Huailing, don't let impulsiveness dominate you."
