He waved his hands. "Get him out of here!"

The housekeeper hesitated. That was Lord Ling! He looked up at his master who looked determined. Now the housekeeper understood that something had gone wrong.

As the servants, the only thing they could do was to follow their master's order.

They left and then asked the guards to drive out Lord Ling and Xie Yan who had been waiting in the lobby.

The two of them were so embarrassed standing outside the mansion.

Xie Yan had not expected that the Liu Mansion would be so resolute as to drive them out directly. He adjusted Lord Ling's blouse, asking him with uncertainty. "Lord Ling, what are we going to do?"

Lord Ling was extremely annoyed. The Princess Consort went home directly against the rules. So he came to pick her up for her own sake, but now they were driving him out?

He was Lord Ling, and now he had the Phoenix Girl with him so he was going to take the throne! The Liu Family was so stupid to not notice that!

"What are we going to do? We're going home!" Lord Ling bellowed. "I am leaving her alone now. I am going to see how much longer she is going to stay in the mansion! Lord Ling glared at him.

Xie Yan had to shut up. Lord Ling was in the middle of anger, so there was no need for him to speak with him about anything now. He had to wait until Lord Ling's anger was reduced before he said anything. He had once studied General Liu before - he was stubborn but not dumb. If the Princess Consort insisted on remaining at the Liu Mansion, he might truly let her do so.

When the Princess Consort was marrying Lord Ling, General Liu never thought highly of Lord Ling. He must be thinking the same thing now.

He sighed, then he mounted the horse.

They headed towards Lord Ling's Mansion directly.

After Gu Chaoyan returned home from Gu Ruxue's Adulthood Ceremony, she had been staying at the Qiong Pavilion all the time.

The moment she returned to her residence, she went to space and asked the phoenix about the birds.

Sword One poured her the tea which Gu Chaoyan held in her hands. It was warm and that made her feel slightly better.

The door was opened, and the cold wind that sneaked inside made Gu Chaoyan cringed.

Zhou Huaijin ceased his steps, took off his cloak and gave it to Sword One. "We need a fireplace for this room."

"It is only deep autumn. What more can we do in winter?" Gu Chaoyan asked helplessly. "What are you doing here?"
