She was stunned by his response, so she snapped back angrily, "My life is nothing? I think you're humiliating me."

Wang Teng teased her, "Ah, saving you was a piece of cake."

"Don't overthink it," she replied with a calm tone, while combing her long hair.

"That's good. I'm an outstanding man, and too many ladies love me; I can't have another." Wang Teng sighed.

It took her a few deep breaths to calm down. Then, she handed something to Wang Teng.

"This is my gift to you."

"What is this? A little branch?" Wang Teng sized up the item with interest. Then, he gasped and added, "There's a dense amount of light force inside."

"My friend from the Light Velvet Planet gave this to me. You can look for her if you have any troubles in the future," Moira said.

Wang Teng raised his eyebrows. "This must be important to you. Are you sure you want to give it to me?"

"I'm leaving." Moira waved a hand and simply left.

Wang Teng looked on as she was leaving, while shaking his head.

Someone suddenly slapped his shoulder and teased, "Stop looking; she's gone already."

"I knew you were hiding back there." Wang Teng turned and looked at Di Qi, feeling at a loss.

"You send your spiritual power all over the base." Di Qi was similarly taken aback.

Wang Teng stored the little branch in a small jade box. "One can't be too careful."

Di Qi shrugged and asked, "Anyway, what's going to happen with my cousin if you start dating Veblen's disciple?"

"What do you mean? What about your cousin?" Wang Teng's face turned black. He quickly added, "There's nothing going on between me and your cousin. Are you trying to take advantage of me?

"Also, there's nothing between me and Moira. Don't tarnish her reputation."

"Tsk, I saw everything." Di Qi pouted and sniggered.

"What did you see?" A dangerous glow appeared in Wang Teng's eyes. He stared at the other with a smile.

"Cough, nothing. I saw nothing." Di Qi quickly changed his tune. This fellow is too powerful. I can't afford to offend him.

"Look at your timid expression." Wang Teng rolled his eyes. "Don't joke about your cousin and me. I'd be put on the spot if your family finds out and later wants me to be their son-in-law."
