Seeing that Ultima already took two of the enemies, "Damn!" Vortex shouted as he dashed forward as well. He also took a gun that was lying on the floor. It was a gun of one of those dead enemies. Then he aimed it at one of the enemies around. But Vortex turned pale in an instant.1

"F*ck you bastard!"

"Die!"

Two opponents shouted as they were aiming their guns at Vortex.

Noticing it, all colors left the face of Vortex. He exclaimed, "F*ck! I'm so dead..." was the only word Vortex could mutter.

At that moment, they heard a sudden sound of impact.

Before one of those two men could fire his gun, Instructor Goki came and punched the other one. He was actually dashing forward right when the chakrams appeared. But since he needed to climb the ascending stairs first, he arrived late.

Although he was late, his timing was great. He was able to punch one of the men who was aiming their weapon at Vortex. However, although Goki took care of one of them, one more remained! So Vortex was still in danger. Fortunately, the other one was beheaded by Yman's chakram before the person could pull the trigger.

Noticing that he was saved, Vortex sighed in relief inwardly. He fired his gun at his original target.

The beam penetrated the person's stomach. Goki rolled towards the gun that was on the floor. He grabbed it in the process, then fired at one of the enemies. Blood bloomed immediately after the person's yelp.

Instructor Musk also came and slashed one of the enemies with his slim curvy sword. Instructor Torr tackled the enemy who was aiming at Instructor Musk.

The enemy groaned after receiving the full brunt of Instructor Torr's full charge. Though it failed to kill the criminal, he lost consciousness after his body bumped several times on benches and handlebars. He lost consciousness with his eyes wide open and only white remained.

On the other hand, Instructor Beth appeared behind the enemy who was aiming his gun at Instructor Goki. With her eyes gleaming, she crossed her arms in an 'X' form. She summoned a bit of mana on them, so they were visibly gleaming in bluish color. After that, she used a combo of hand chop attacks at the back of his head. Well, since these people were genetically modified, they have a reinforced body. They were physically strong in both defense and offense. At most, they were stronger than ordinary humans.

At that moment, the enemy felt like the back of his head was hit with a bat multiple times. The enemy lost consciousness right away with his soul escaping out of his mouth, waving a white flag and crying.

Instructor Beth sent a wink at Goki who was looking at her with a gratitude expression written on his face.

Without giving meaning to that wink, Instructor Goki returned his gaze at the enemies, then he fired at another one.

ARGH! The beam severed the arm of one of the enemies. It cried in pain after that. 

Instructor Beth puckered her lips at that nonchalant reaction of Goki. A sigh escaped her mouth before she tapped her bracelet. After tapping the bracelet, a symmetrical pattern appeared under her feet. This bracelet was not an ordinary item. It was a tool used to help in casting spells. The item was called Magic Casting Tool. Before the System Deity came to the market, MCT or Magic Casting Tool was the first device used for Outerworld Magicians to cast spells without harming themselves.

However, at these times, these kinds of devices could no longer be found in the market. It was only used by military personnel. MCT was now used as a backup device.

That's why the right-hand man of the criminal group widened his eyes when he noticed Instructor Beth was casting a spell even though her System Deity should not have with her.

The criminals already lost their momentum after the appearance of the chakrams. Their leader could no longer give a command and they didn't even notice when Instructor Beth took the second-in-command.

With the joined forces of the Mercenaries and the instructors, the enemies lost in just a minute. Yman's chakrams took most of them. And it was in a gruesome way. His chakrams killed the enemies in a bloody and more brutal way. The area was now smeared with blood. Some of them were gushing below towards the surface. Because of this, the smell of blood was strong in the area.

The ordinary citizens were looking at the scene with wide eyes. It seemed as though something blocked their throat seeing that none of them was able to mutter a single word. Even the academy students around were also in that state. They were having different kinds of feelings regarding the events, especially the way they were looking at Yman and his chakrams.

Those chakrams were still hovering above even after slaughtering all the enemies. The noises they made sent shivers in everyone's skins. They were like the very incarnation of death.

Even the instructors couldn't help but check on them from time to time. They were wary of the off chance that those objects suddenly came to attack them. They had no way to defend them in their current condition in which their partner System Deities were not around them.

Seeing that all enemies were taken care of, Goki hastily ran towards Yman, who was still giving punishment to the enemy's group leader. It looks like he was purposely lowering the power of his punch to avoid directly sending it to the afterlife.

Goki couldn't help but feel conflicted at Yman's action. "Wait! Kid!" He called out at Yman, who was about to send another punch. Yman's fist stopped in mid-air. He glanced at Goki. When Goki had a glance at the figure of the enemy's leader, a chill ran down his spine.

The leader's face could no longer be called a face. The person was disfigured brutally. It also seemed like he grew another face on his face. Goki didn't know where to look because it looked like the person's eyes, nose, mouth, etcetera were not in the right place. Blood and other liquids were flowing on the person's face. It was hard to look at.

Although he had an urge to vomit, Goki decided to gulp down his own saliva. He only sighed in relief when he noticed the person's chests were still heaving.

'So it seems he was alive. Thankfully.' 

Goki also heard groaning sounds from him. But it was so weak that one might think he was just snoring faintly. When he heard his groaning, he wondered how Yman did it without letting his enemy faint. It was an impossible feat actually.

When he noticed Yman's eyes on him, Goki was taken aback slightly. He could sense the kid's wrath in that look in his eyes.

'This kid… how did he change so much?' Goki couldn't help but ask it in his mind. 'He even defeated Kiko, who is from the main lineage of the Sun Family. It is really hard to believe. If I didn't see the fight with my own eyes, I would not believe it.' 

But Goki saw it, as he was even watching their match at a close distance. Even someone like him, who was already a veteran in the False Path stage, couldn't help but feel a slight fear from that gaze.

How did someone who hadn't even reached the False Path stage able to instill such fear in him?

Goki slowly opened his mouth. He could not say a word that could be misunderstood by the other party.

"Uh, p-please don't kill him yet. We needed him for investigation," Goki stated.

Yman stared at him for a couple of seconds. A bead of sweat materialized at the back of Goki's head.

When Goki noticed Yman released his grip on the leader's collar, just then Goki sighed in relief. He also heard Yman say, "Okay," in a calm voice. The wrath he was exuding just a moment ago could no longer be found.

Goki exclaimed from Yman's reaction. 'How was someone capable of shifting mood so quickly?' Goki asked in surprise, though in his mind only.

He saw Yman turn his back. He walked towards the two girls not far behind him. The look of the other girl had something in common with Yman. They had similar hair and eye color. Goki also saw her along with Yman when they came into this world. So he already assumed she was his sister. The other girl had her face hidden under a brown hood, so Goki could not fully see her face. However, he noticed a big mole and some freckles somewhere on her face. It looked like she was not on the beautiful side. Well, Goki didn't really care about everyone's appearances. He only took notice of it because... why not? He has eyes, you know.
