"Are you from the military?"0

"No, we're from the academy," Goki was the one who answered.

"I see, by the way, please find some help. The facility is under attack!"

"What?!" 

"Really?!"

The others exclaimed.

"Yes yes. Uhm, please call the black magician! Please call him! We need his help!" Said the guard. His face had the expression of panic.

"B-Black magician?!"

Goki and the others frowned when they heard it. This was the name they least expected to be mentioned by him. No one knew where to find that mysterious person as even his pictures were all over the city, yet up until now, he didn't show up. Many rumors were proliferating about him. And none of those rumors help in finding him. Goki and the others were wondering why this person in a military outfit suddenly mentioned it. They were looking at him with great anticipation. 

Even Rea got interested.

"Yes. He was just here a while back. He used a mysterious ability and revived me and my comrade."

"Wait wait wait! What are you talking about?" Goki said, trying to digest what this person said. The surprise from what he said made Goki and the others gawked in response. The others were also wondering about it, especially Almina. Back then, she was saved by the black magician when she faced one of the terrorists who attack the city.

While everyone was wondering about the man's words, Yman, on the other hand, was pondering why the vigilantes also attacked the medical facility. 

'Weren't the other students admitted there?' Yman thought.

Even Kiko was still there. He wanted to laugh at Kiko's misfortune.

Seeing their doubt, the guard knitted his brows and said, "What the! I-I'm not lying! See this blood here?" He said as he pointed to the blood on the concreted ground. Goki and the others saw the blood. Judging the blood, it seemed like this blood dripped out of the body not long ago. "They were our blood," the guard added.

"Eh?" Goki and the others gawked upon hearing that. Yman, on the other hand, remained calm.

Then he continued saying, "A group of people in black clothing came and attacked us! We were defeated. The enemy slit my comrade's throat. I saw it in my own eyes when blood gushed out of his wound. Then, after him, I was stabbed from behind. I'm certain I died after that." The guard continued summarising what happened.

"I went to call for help to send my comrade to the medical facility. But when I returned here along with some medics, I only saw my comrade. The black magician was already high in the clouds, mounting his gigantic bird. I even forgot to ask him to help the VIPs. Right! The VIPs! We need to inform the chief! They are in danger!"

Almina squinted her eyes. "Gigantic bird?" She muttered. But soon she pushed it at the back of her mind as there was a more pressing issue right in front of them.

Nonetheless, a person revives a dead person?! Is that even possible?! But, the guard seemed like wasn't lying either. 

Although Goki was still a little doubtful, he admitted that the guard's words seemed plausible. 

Goki slowly opened his mouth, "In regards to the military aid, forget it! There's no way to contact the military headquarters at this moment. Besides, at this rate of attack, I am sure the headquarters already knew about the situation."

"He's right." While crossing his arms over his broad torso, Instructor Torr affirmed Goki's words.

"What!?" The guard looked so down after hearing them. "What is going to happen now?"

"Sadly, only us here are capable of fighting. We can only depend on ourselves." Goki paused for a moment and glanced at everyone. "In this case, I need everyone's thoughts. Tell me what you can suggest," he said as eyes scanned through each one of them.

"We can split into two teams but that would be a bad idea if I would say. We lack information regarding the numbers of the enemies and their strength," Instructor Torr said.

Silence descended as everyone was trying to figure out a good plan. But since they were running out of time, none of them could calmly think of a good one.

At that moment, "Erm!" Yman cleared his throat. This gathered everyone's attention towards him. Noticing their eyes on him, Yman thought, 'Good grief.' Then he opened his mouth, saying, "Uhm. There are a total number of 20 vigilantes trying to break through the securities of the skyscraper building. Five of them were fighter-type magicians. The rest are modified humans. At the medical facility, there are 15 vigilantes. Two of them are magicians. The rest are modified humans," with a calm tone, Yman told them, which caused the others to be dumbfounded.

"Eh? Kid, how did you know? Regardless, are you certain about it?"

Well. This question was only to be expected and Yman already anticipated it. However, there was no way to give them proof. Since they were running out of time, Yman replied, saying, "Before arriving at the plaza, I met a person with black hair and ruby red eyes. He was wearing a black jacket as well. Hm, now that I think about it... he really looks identical to that person in the posters I saw somewhere in the city. Right. He was also riding a giant bird. He was the one who told me that information. I thought he was just some psycho. Haha," he paused for a moment and laughed wryly. Then he continued saying, "But after hearing the guard's words, I think he was the same person as that black magician. In that case, knowing that he was a high-esteemed person, he must be telling the truth."

"What?!"

"....."

Yman fell silent from their reactions.

At that moment, the guard exclaimed, saying, "See?! I'm telling the truth. The black magician is truly here! If only we can find him, we can ask for his help."

After hearing Yman's words, Goki and even Almina and the rest finally believed the guard's claim. 

"But still. We have to vote whether to split our tropes or not. There are only a few of us. But since the enemies mostly consist of modified humans only, I think there is a chance to win, though the winning rate is quite slim," Instructor Musk, who was silent the whole time, suddenly said his assessment of the situation.

From out of nowhere, "Then, can you include me in your team?" They heard a voice, which all of them are familiar with, especially Maena and Almina.

When they glanced at where the voice came from, the two exclaimed at the same time, "Big sister Ice!"

"Yes yes. It's me. Your beautiful ace in the Academy and a good big sister," she said with a wink. The rest laughed wryly at Ice's self-introduction. But her appearance gave a boost in their confidence.
