Magical Prism
Spike turned around and looked at everyone one by one. Only his footsteps were the noise in the room. The next second, he opened his mouth and said, "Well… anyway… it's useless for you now to disobey us."2
Everyone frowned at his words, especially Principal Mar Mari who was one of the hosts as one of the higher officials in this city. "What do you mean?" He asked.
There was a hint of concern in his voice because it was a big responsibility for Principal Mar Mari and the other officials if something bad happens to the VIPs here. Even if they survived this situation, this chaos could be used against them by their competitors in the country of their original world.
Originally, the city of Sitona where they came from did not have that high economic level compared to other cities in the Middle Region in the P-Country. But after they got a slot to build a counterpart city in this world, the Sitona Town economy had been showing good improvements in the past years.
The P-country was divided into three regions. The West Region, Middle Region, and East Region were the three regions that make up this country. And the region of origin of the people in Human City Zone 7 was the Middle Region. The Middle Region, on the other hand, consists of several large and small cities and towns. Sitona Town was one of those.
Although Sitona was only a town, one of the largest academies for Magicians in the P-Country was in this town.
Although not all, most of the magicians from well-known families in the country were in Sitona. One of them was the Amulet and the Sun Family. These two families were members of the Top Ten Leading Clan in the Country.
Because not that many students have the affinity of mana, there were not that many Magic Academy in each Region. In fact, there were only two or three Magic Academies in each region of P-Country.
Across the P-Country, there were only a total of seven Magic Academies. But even so, not all Magic Academies have a city counterpart in Innerword. That was why the competition of the academies in each country was so fierce. To get a slot to be qualified to build a city in another world was a big advantage to every Magic Academy.
So their situation at the moment was truly difficult because their competitors could use this issue against Zone 7. Especially if one of the VIPs would get hurt. It would definitely be the end of this city if that was going to happen.
If Zone 7 disappears, it would be more difficult for Sitona Town to recover due to the disruption of the vital supplies that only in this world they could get. The economy of the entire Middle Region may also be in decline in the coming months. And it would also reflect in the whole country. Such adversity would definitely happen if ever.
So to avoid such a disaster to proliferate, they needed to assign another town or city with a Magic Academy on their turf for the slot. And other academies would have a contest to get the vacant slot.
Currently, the entire P-Country has only two slots. So because there were seven Magic Academies across this country, then five of the seven Magic Academies currently have no connection to the Innerworld. The slots were a big thing for a Magic Academy because students would gain more experience and learn more than magician students who were only in Outerworld.
It was the reason why the competition for slots was so fierce and a big thing. Discovering the dungeon was truly a blessing for Zone 7. Because of the dungeon, the academy had new hope to raise again and might help them in avoiding having the academy disqualified for their slot. Of course, the government still had the final say regarding it.
Anyway, today's situation could put the whole city in jeopardy. This was the main reason for Principal Mar Mari's concern. Regardless, there was still hope. The three elders. They would definitely do something about this situation.
Spike looked at him. He was in no hurry to answer the principal's question. Before answering, he smiled with mixed sarcasm. Then, he opened his mouth.
"It is because… it was futile for you to disobey. We have taken control of the major forces in this lousy city."
Principal Mar and the VIPs knitted their brows from Spike's words. They wondered what he meant.
"What? What do you mean?" Principal Mar asked again.
Spike looked at him with scornful eyes. A moment later, he grinned. "Hehe…" his voice, although not so loud, reverberated in their ears.
Spike continued saying, "My men are keeping your military forces busy. And don't hope to get help from your elders. My men already disabled them from interfering," replied Spike with a mocking face. The vigilantes with him also have a mocking grin on their faces.
Everyone widened their eyes at Spike's words.
"Impossible!" Not only Principal Mar but also Adam Praeter and the others exclaimed after hearing Spike's reply.
"Well. If you don't believe me… why don't you look at this…" Spike took something from his Cyber Storage and showed it to everyone.
On his palm, a tiny black cube with a trailing purple gleam was sitting on it.
"M-Magical Prism!" Jack exclaimed upon seeing it.
"Magical Prism?"
"Wait! Do you mean that item that could trap a Real Path Expert Magician?"
"That's right!"
The VIPs started voicing out their knowledge regarding the item on Spike's palm.
"So that means…" with beads of sweat on his face, Principal Mar muttered in disbelief. He knew about this item. This item could truly trap a higher-level expert like the elders. There was no use asking them where they got such an item. They were a criminal group, so they probably got it through an illegal method.
"Right. Some of my men already took care of your elders," Spike announced, making Principal Mar lose all his hope.
In the room where the elders were, the three elders were sitting on their seats while surrounded by four vigilante members. Each of them was holding a Magical Prism in their hand. From four sides, those Magical Prisms were forming a cube-like barrier, trapping the tree elders inside it.
"I wonder what your intention is…" said Elder Gatan in a calm voice.
