Beth versus Love

With a look of surprise, Miss Love searched for the insolent fool who attacked her from out of nowhere. 

When she saw the person, her face twitched into an ugly expression. "B-Bitch!" She grunted while wiping the blood on her mouth. "You'll pay for this!" She threw bloodshot eyes at her.

"Ufufu… what a contemptuous woman…" Instructor Beth mocked her.

Her words made the enemy angrier. "Shut up!"

Love hastily stood up and placed her palms in front of her face, pointing at Instructor Beth.

Seeing it, Instructor Torr and Musk quickly shouted a warning. 

"Watch out!" 

"Miss Beth, run!"

"What?" Beth glanced at them with a puzzled expression. However, it was too late. Love already cast the spell.

"Diluted Mind!"

There were sudden blue ripples of thin force in the space after she spoke it. Along with it was a high-pitch monotonous sound.

A sudden silence enveloped the place.

Looking at Miss Beth who had her eyes looked like they were lacking consciousness, albeit they were opened, the two men instructors looked with wide eyes and ugly expressions.

"N-no way…" Musk muttered dejectedly.

"Grr…" Torr clenched his teeth as he punched the broken pavement. "It's too late!"

As though mocking their solemnity, they heard a sudden guffaw.

"Hahaha!"

Miss Love walked unhurriedly towards Miss Beth. "Now, now, such a lovely woman. I wonder what to do with her. It's a waste to just kill her, no?" She said as she glanced at the two men who had difficulty standing.

"Don't touch her, Bitch!" Musk bellowed.

Instructor Beth was just standing like a mannequin. <Diluted Mind

was one of Miss Love's special abilities. It weakened the target's senses, depending on her mental fortitude. Since Beth was working overtime these past days, her mental stability wasn't in better condition.

As coworkers, Torr and Musk knew about it.

"Hehehe!" Miss Love giggled. "You've just given me a good idea, gentleman. Bwahaha!"

Musk's face turned bitter as if he just swallowed sour food, "Go to hell, bitch!" He yelled at her.

Miss Love's squinted eyes with purple eyeshadows glared at him like a glare of poisonous snakes. But in truth, she was delighted to see these people in grief.

"Heh! Do you like this woman? Hehe. Don't worry, I'll take good care of her. She will be a good present. Ahh~ I can't wait to see her expression once she's defiled. Ufufufu!"

The two instructors tried their best to summon strength in their legs, but the result was a failure. They could not stand. 

Miss Love just needed to punch her as payment for hitting her just now. The following job would be dispatching the two men instructors. After that, was to finish her main mission in this place.

Arriving in front of her, she looked at her face which was devoid of emotion. She grinned. "Hehehe—"

"Heh!"

Miss Love's grin froze by a sudden reaction coming from the person in front of her.

"What?" She looked surprised. However, before she could react, something hit her in the gut.

"Gwah!" Her eyes widened, and a second later, her vision started to blur. She squirmed on the floor and coughed blood.

"H-How?" She asked in a pained voice.

She was puzzled as to how the woman instructor escaped the effect of her <Diluted Mind

ability. 

Instructor Beth did not bother answering her question. She stomped her feet to finish the enemy.

Looking at it, Miss Love widened her eyes. "Damn you!" She shouted and bit her lip hard to bleed. Her silhouette disappeared on the floor as though her body had sunk inside it. 

As a result, Instructor Beth's stomp only hit the pavement floor.

"Tsk! She's slick," Instructor Beth clicked her tongue and whined under her breath.

"Beth! Oh my god, you're fine!" Seeing that Instructor Beth was just fine, Instructor Musk screamed happily,

Without responding, "Here take these!" She threw two bottles at the two Instructors.

"?!" The two men Instructors caught it. They noticed the bottle was heart-shaped and the liquid inside was pink-colored.

It was the first time they saw this kind of elixir.

"That's a Love Love Potion. It will give you high mental resistance. She's strong, I can't defeat her alone. Let's fight together," Beth said to the two.

After hearing her, the two didn't waste more time.

"Glug glug glug~ ahhhhh!"

After drinking the potions, their strength returned immediately.

"I see. So, it didn't only give mental resistance, it also helped restore stamina and strength."

Instructor Torr bumped his fists after saying it. Finally, he felt strong again.

"Thanks, Miss Beth," Instructor Musk said after wiping his mouth with his forearm.

"Don't mind it. For now, let's focus on defeating her."

"Okay!"

Miss Love appeared a few steps away from them. She threw a bottle on the floor. It was a bottle of elixir. After drinking it, she felt fine again.

"Heh! So, you're a practitioner of mental ability as well. No wonder…" she said. "However, are you sure you wanted to waste your time here?"

Beth used all her strength in that attack just now. But the woman in front of them still managed to stay conscious. Therefore, there was only one explanation. She wasn't an ordinary enemy. Her level was no doubt higher than theirs.

"What do you mean?" Instructor Beth asked, raising her eyebrow a little.

"Hehehe. While you're wasting your time here, our leader has been killing those bigshots in the building. Hahaha!"

Instructor Beth squinted his eyes.

On the other hand, Torr snorted. "Heh! Don't worry about that. We have reliable people for that task."

"Ouh~ do you think a group of an Instructor and students was enough to defeat our leader? Hehehe. Your dumbness is truly magnificent! Hahaha!"

Her laughter echoed.

"Let's defeat her fast!" Instructor Beth suddenly looked serious. 'If this enemy alone is already strong enough, what's more, their leader…'1

She could not let Goki and the students die.

"Try me if you can!" After saying it, her hands were covered by shadow.

"Stop with your nonsense!"

Musk leaped and attacked her.

Shing! Shing! Shing!

It was a sword attack of quick consecutive strikes. However, his attack only hit empty air. Love's figure disappeared like a shadow.

"Tsk, she's not only good at mental interference. It looks like her real ability is the element of shadow." 

Torr clenched his fists. He punched when he saw Love's figure materialized not far from him. His punch wasn't just an ordinary punch. It was fortified by higher-level fortification ability.

"Take this!"

"Tsk! She disappeared again!" Torr gritted his teeth when his punch failed to land his target.

"Be careful, Miss Beth, she's coming to you!" Musk warned while hurriedly following after the enemy.

Beth readied herself. It was hard to believe that the enemy was able to evade Musk and Torr's attack so easily.

"What?" Instructor Beth muttered in disbelief when the enemy was already behind her in a blink of an eye.

'Damn! She's fast!'

Her movement was like that of the assassin. 

"Hehehe. Die!" Love shouted in excitement. Initially, she wanted to abduct her as a gift to their superior. However, after realizing that this woman wasn't an easy opponent, she decided she would kill her.

A hand chopping attack decapitated Beth's head. Her head flew in the air.

"Miss Beth!" Instructor Musk and Torr screamed.

Looking at it, Love grinned. But soon the grin on her face disappeared right after it was formed. The reason was that she felt a presence behind her. Moreover, the figure of the decapitated Beth was disappearing.

"What? What's the meaning of this?" She asked, slightly bewildered.

Before getting her answer, she received a hit behind her. Beth kicked her in the back.

"Gwah!" Love groaned. Although she managed to use her shadow ability and disappeared right before Musk's blade caressed her neck, her back was aching from that kick.

Her figure appeared at a safe distance from the three.

"You wench! How did you do that?"

Pulse cross-shaped appeared on her forehead as she angrily threw a question. 

"Fufufu. Don't lump my mental ability into yours."

"Are you saying your mental ability is much better than mine?" 

"Well… do I need to answer that?" Instructor Beth answered with a smug face.

She had a point though. Because her enemy's mental attack was able to affect her, it was right to assume that her enemy's mental attack was enough to overpower her resistance to it.

However, that was only if she truly used a mental attack at that time.

"Who are you fooling? Do you think I will believe that it was a mental attack?"

"Fufufu. I didn't say though." In the first place, there was a big difference between Mental Attack and Illusion Magic.

"That illusion skill? When did you use it? I didn't notice when you cast it."

"Do you expect an honest answer from your opponent? Are you that gullible?" Instructor Beth sighed while shaking her head. 

Love gnashed her teeth. "Grr! I will kill you for sure!" She shot another angry look at Instructor Beth.

"Come and try," Beth replied with a grin.

Musk and Torr sighed in relief when they saw Beth was just fine. But the two of them could not make another mistake. Their enemy was truly a difficult one.

Musk then summoned more mana. Not only on his sword but also his body. Torr did as well. This time, they would surely defeat her.

Love was already preparing to attack. She would take the initiative to attack them.

However, suddenly, she received a call. The transmitter in her ear rang. She tapped it and heard the voice from the opposite line.

The voice in the opposite line said, "Retreat! Fast! A-a magician… a magician in black… Eh?! H-how did you— get away! Don't come! Don't commmme! Arrggh!!!!"

"Eh?"

 'Isn't that the leader's voice?' Love widened her eyes.
