New System Feature

According to the information shown by the system, after he consumes a Nightmare Fruit, he would enter a Nightmare and start living in it.

'Even though there will be many difficulties in every step I take in the Nightmare world, the rewards for surviving are great. Moreover, the longer the duration I stay inside a Nightmare World, the higher the benefits I will get.'

'Another advantage from eating this fruit was, no matter how long I spend my time inside a Nightmare World, only one minute will pass in the real world.'

Ajax wanted to be sure about everything. So, he read the available information about the Nightmare Fruit before eating it.

'Gulp'

Without wasting any time, Ajax eats the Nightmare Fruits in a few bites and soon, he is hit by a wave of dizziness.

'Thud'

In the next second, he lost consciousness and fell to the ground in his cultivation chamber of the Protector's palace.

'Ding,

        The host has consumed a Nightmare Fruit.

'Ding,

        The host has met the hidden requirements to unlock a new system feature. Do you want to unlock it?

Ajax was in an endless space in his spirit consciousness form and opened his eyes when he heard the system notifications.

'What? I met the hidden requirements for a new system feature?'

Ajax was shocked for a moment before revealing an excited smile on his face, 'It's been a while since I got some new system features. I wonder what it is.'

'Yes, I want to unlock it.'

Without any hesitation, Ajax decided to unlock it with a curious look on his face.

'Ding, 

        A new feature [Nightmare World] has been unlocked. Please check the full details in the [User Interface].

With a thought, he checked for more information on his new system feature.

'Ding,

        System feature: Nightmare World.

        Use: The host can enter a random nightmare world and survive in it. The longer he survives the higher his rewards would be.

        Note: The host needs to eat a Nightmare fruit to activate this feature.

        Nightmare Points: 0

        Uses: 1) Collect the nightmare points to retain some of your real-life skills, cultivation techniques, bloodlines and whatever you have.

                  2) With enough nightmare points, the host can bring the treasures, weapons and whatnot from the nightmare world he entered.

                  3) The main use of the nightmare points is that the host can set his initiating conditions in the nightmare world. With more nightmare points, the host can assume the identity of a son of a powerful family or a brother to a famous knight to live in the nightmare world which increases the survival rate of the host.

Soon, the full information about his new system feature appeared before Ajax, making him shocked.

'What? I can enter the nightmare world with my real-life abilities, bring back the treasures from the nightmare worlds I enter, and even choose where I should be born in the nightmare world. Isn't this awesome?'

Ajax was not expecting his newly unlocked system feature to be over-powered.

Nevertheless, to do all things he just mentioned, he needed the Nightmare Points.

'Even though I don't know exactly how to get these so-called Nightmare Points, I can guess it must have something to do with surviving inside the Nightmare World.'

Ajax silently thought about how he could get the Nightmare Points.

'Ding,

          The host can get the Nightmare Points by surviving inside a nightmare world. The longer you stay, the more nightmare points the host will get rewarded with.

'Ding,

          When the host is inside the Nightmare Points, the system will issue some side missions. Upon completion of these side missions, the host will be rewarded with the specified nightmare points.

'Ding,

        With enough nightmare points, the host can bring back the things, skills, and so on.

Upon sensing his thoughts, the system sent a few more notifications informing him how to get the Nightmare points inside the nightmare world.

'Really? Then I have to work hard.'

After hearing that, Ajax's excitement shot to the peak as he decided to work hard and collect as many Nightmare Points as possible.

'Compared to my original system, this default system is very good. Even before I could ask it any questions, it was answering me without asking  me to pay for it.'

'More importantly, the default system is very respectful towards me and never shows an attitude in front of him.'

Ajax compared his original system and the default system and felt the latter one was really treating him like a master.

Even though he was saying that the default system was good, if he were to choose between his original system and the default system, Ajax would choose his original system without any hesitation.

'Whenever the original system sent the notifications, I felt like speaking to a real person who had all emotions whereas the default system sounds like a puppet.'

Therefore, Ajax wants the original system as his companion instead of the default system which only acts when the original system undergoes an upgrade. 

'Ding,

          The host has a chance to enter a random nightmare world. Do you choose to enter it now or later?

Soon, he received the system notification asking him whether he wants to enter the nightmare world or not.

'It will take only one minute in the real world no matter how long I spend inside the nightmare world, right?'

Even though the nightmare fruit's information said that Ajax wanted to confirm it with the system because he would be entering the nightmare world through the system feature.

'Ding,

          Yes. It will be only one minute in the real world no matter how long you spend inside a nightmare world.

'Good. I want to enter it.'

Since the system feature [Nightmare World] has piqued his interest to a high level, Ajax wanted to experience the nightmare world and most importantly, his goal was to see whether he could accumulate enough Nightmare Points to bring anything back to the realm world.

          A random Nightmare world has been selected.

'Ding,1

        The host will be entering the [Nightmare world - The Barbarian World].
