She was the dark horse of Class Four. She had an insane talent of studying. She could even score full marks in so difficult mid-term examination and even lead the whole class to achieve good results. Qin Yan removed the needles from the child's head. Today, first stage of the child's treatment was over.

The child had improved quite a lot. He could now understand many things and even could memorize some poems.

Though his recovery was only minute, it was especially recognizable if compared to his original state.

"Su Chong, how do you feel today?" Qin Yan asked with a smile. 

"I feel much better, Sister-doctor," Su Chong answered with a foolish grin.

Though his demeanor still looked foolish, if observed carefully, one could see that his eyes had gained clarity. 

Su Chong's father thanked Qin Yan profusely. As a parent, he could see the changes in his son clearly.

Su Chong's mother walked towards Qin Yan and held her hands gently, "Miss Qin, we are extremely grateful for your help to our son. No matter what we do, we won't be able to return the favour to you. We have brought some little things with us, if you don't mind, please accept them."

Qin Yan hurriedly denied before Mother Su could take the things out, "No need, Madam Su. I have not done you any favour. It is my duty. In fact, it should be opposite. I should thank you for trusting me with your son."

Father Su came forward and said, "Miss Qin, we had lost all the hope of the recovery of our son, but you descended in our lives as an angel. You gave us hope and even treated our son. No matter what, we have to thank you properly. I insist that you accept our gratefulness please."

Seeing the Su couple so adamant to give her their gift, Qin Yan accepted it. When she looked at what's inside, she was utterly shocked.

"Where..where did you get this?" Qin Yan asked with a voice full of surprise.

Mother Su smiled, "Miss Qin, we are villagers. We often go into the mountains. One of the few times we get lucky to find these things out."

Qin Yan nodded in understanding and looked into the bag. 

When she took out the items from the bag one by one, she discovered two 20-year old wild ginsengs, and a 50-year old one. There was also a whole lingzi and a few catties of loose lingzi.

Qin Yan was completely dumbfounded when she saw the whole lot. The quality of these items were definitely top-notch. She could not imagine that there were actually such treasures in the mountains. 

Qin Yan looked at the Su parents and praised, "Mr. and Mrs.Su, you are really good at digging them up. The roots aren't even broken. This is really great," Qin Yan looked at these items and sighed.

"It's good that you like it, Miss Qin," the Su couple said happily.

Qin Yan sat in Elder Tang's office once again. Last time, she was here when she had to undergo the test. Now, Elder Tang told her that Elder Su wanted to meet her, so she was waiting in this office.

She looked around. Last time she was nervous enough to look in the details of the office. Now that she was bored waiting, she decided to explore it. Obviously she would not touch anything, but that didn't stop her from observing the office.

The office was decorated in pastel colours and gave a calm vibe. It seemed that this was done to calm the patients down. 

A wall of the office was filled with the degrees acquired by Elder Tang. It also consisted of a shelf in which all the awards and trophies were displayed.

On the side of the office room was a bed hidden within curtains. A small staircase was placed near the bed for the convenience of the patients to climb on the bed.

Just as Qin Yan was observing the office, the door opened. Qin Yan saw Elder Su entering with Elder Tang in a row.

Elder Tang and Elder Su sat side by side and told Qin Yan to take a seat.

Qin Yan greeted the two elders and got seated.

Elder Su nodded at the greeting and said, "Miss Qin, I know you might have the question in your mind as to why I wanted to meet you."

Qin Yan nodded in a yes.

"So, the matter is..I saw the improvement in the child you treated. Only one stage of the treatment is over but the child has shown immense changes in him. I am mostly convinced by your ability, but because I said that I will take you as a disciple only after you pass this test, I will not go back to my words," Elder Su said.

He continued, "But there is a change in the plan. Initially, I wanted you to complete this test before taking any other cases. But since you have shown your ability, I want you to come with me to the capital. There is a complicated case that the doctors have encountered and are not able to solve. So, the patient's family members have approached me."
