Xi Jung turned towards the approaching footsteps and saw Elder Su walking towards him.

He was overjoyed seeing him. In the past few days, the Xi family had tried everything to wake Xi Ting up. But they could not achieve anything fruitful from their efforts. Even when the little bun spoke to Xi Ting, he did not give any response.

The monitor which indicated the activity of brain waves of Xi Ting had no change.

After trying out everything, Elder Su was their last resort. Xi Jung tried his best to invite Elder Su over.

Xi Jung had received the information that Elder Su had retired from the medical circle. So after he received the confirmation from Elder Su, Xi Jung could not believe his ears.

If it was anyone else, they would not have dared to offend Xi family. And even if they refused, the Xi family had a lot of ways to make them agree.

But these ways could not be applied to Elder Su. Xi Jung could only request the latter and wait till he got convinced to see his brother.

So, when Xi Jung saw Elder Su in front of him, he was so happy that he almost cried.

He greeted Elder Su hurriedly, afraid that the latter would be offended thinking of late greeting as a sign of disrespect.

"Elder Su, thank you so much for attending to my request. I can't express how big of a favour you have done to Xi family," Xi Jung said gratefully.

Elder Su looked at the young man standing in front of him. He nodded at his greeting after feeling the sense of gratefulness from him.

Elder Su then reminded, "Mr. Xi, although I have come here, but I am not sure if I can help you in Young Master Xi's case. Of course, I will take a look at him, but as you know igniting a person's will to live is not easy. I will try my best but I hope you have a clear picture of the situation and not get your hopes too high."

Xi Jung replied in understanding, "Don't worry, Elder Su. I am fully aware of the situation. No matter if you are able to wake my brother up or not, it will be fine even if you attend to him."

Qin Yan was standing behind Elder Su. After hearing the conversation between Xi Jung and Elder Su, she figured out the situation.

'It seems that the patient was Young Master of Xi family, Xi Jung's elder brother and the head of Xi Corporation. No wonder, Elder Su said that the patient was too influential and a very important person,' she thought inwardly.

When Qin Yan was immersed in her thoughts, Elder Su moved aside and introduced, "Mr. Xi, this is my apprentice Qin Yan. I have brought her here to look at the patient and give some pointers if any. I hope you don't mind."

As soon as Elder Su moved aside, Qin Yan and Xi Jung came face to face.

Earlier, Xi Jung was so busy with Elder Su that he didn't notice a person standing behind the Elder.

But now when Elder Su pointed Qin Yan out and introduced her, Xi Jung was stunned.

He stared at Qin Yan blankly. 'Apprentice? How can she be Elder Su's apprentice? Isn't she in twelfth grade? When did she learn medicine? Why didn't this information surface in the investigation which was done by me?'

Qin Yan saw Xi Jung's face full of question marks. She understood where he was coming from. His shock was evident on his face. She smiled at him to bring him back to his senses.

Xi Jung snapped out of his thoughts, "Miss Qin, if I am not wrong you are currently in high school right? How come you know medicine as well?"

Xi Jung grew suspicious of the entire situation. After all, this was too coincidental. She saved the little bun first and then got closer to the child. Now she became an apprentice of the divine doctor suddenly and came to the hospital in which his brother was admitted.

Qin Yan was also quite surprised at the turn of events. She never expected to meet Xi Jung here. She understood why Xi Jung was suspicious but she didn't liked to be questioned like a criminal.

So, she replied coldly, "Mr. Xi, don't worry. I don't have any ill intentions towards you or your family. In fact before seeing you here, I didn't even know the identity of the patient. If you don't believe me, you can ask Elder Su."

Hearing the talk between Qin Yan and Xi Jung, Elder Su was also baffled, "Do you two know each other?"

"Yes!" Qin Yan and Xi Jung replied together.

Elder Su nodded in understanding, "Mr. Xi, I can testify to the fact that Miss Qin did not know the identity of the patient. And if you two did not know each other, I would have never revealed the patient's identity to her. So you can be rest assured."

Xi Jung respected Elder Su and knew that he had no reason to conspire against Xi family. So he said, "If Elder Su is guaranteeing this, then I have no issues. But is she really capable of treating someone?"

Xi Jung's worries were justified if one looked at Qin Yan's age and background. She did not have any medical background and Qin family was invested in business. If it wasn't for Elder Su, she wouldn't even have a chance of standing there.

So, even if she didn't mean any harm, Xi Jung could not allow her to examine his brother as he didn't know her capabilities.

Elder Su also understood this. He had brought Qin Yan also to see her capabilities. But if they stood there only discussing these things, the time would not be enough.

Elder Su instructed, "Qin Yan, you go in and take a look at the patient. After I clear all the doubts of Mr. Xi, I will come in and then you can give me your findings."
