Fairy faced rice cakes
The little guy look intently at what Qin Yan was doing.
She first took out the rice from the grocery bag, then washed it clean before cooking it.
After the rice were cooked, she made small rice cakes topped with cheese. She then used cream cheese topped rice cakes as a base, crunchy vegetables and blueberries to create the fairy faces, then finished them off with home grown cress and pea shoots for fairy hair.
The little guy's eyes lit up seeing the cute fairy faced rice cakes.
Qin Yan then arranged the rice cakes in a plate and then handed it over to the little bun, "Darling, bring this to your father."
The little guy looked at Qin Yan in confusion. She explained, "Darling see the fairies smiling. Doesn't this put you in good mood? I am sure your father's mood will also improve seeing them."
The little bun nodded and brought the plate to his father's room. He knocked the door and called out, "Dad!"
"Come in!" a hoarse male voice sounded out.
The little guy entered the room with his hands behind holding the plate.
Xi Ting looked at his son behaving secretly and was amused, "What are you hiding, Xiaobao?"
"Hehe, dad see what I bought for you," the little guy brought the plate in front and opened the lid to reveal beautiful fairy cakes on the plate.
Xi Ting was surprised, "Where did you bring it from?" he asked his son.
The little bun did not miss the expression of surprise on his father's face and giggled, "Dad, these were made by Sister Yan. She said that your mood doesn't seem quite right, so she wanted to improve it," the little guy left no stone unturned in praising Qin Yan.
Xi Ting heard his son and looked at the fairy faces. It seemed like they were smiling at him. If it was another time that a woman other than his Mo Ran had cooked for him, he would throw the food away.
But he didn't know why, he wanted to taste the rice cakes. He picked up the chopsticks and took a bite. The taste seemed too familiar to him, 'Now even the cooking tastes similar. What is happening to me! Why do I find this girl similar to my cookie!' he wondered.
Xi Ting ate a rice cake and could not stop himself from eating another one. While he was relishing the delicious food, his eyes fell on his son looking at him pitifully.
The little guy looked at his father intently expecting that he would offer the food cooked by Qin Yan to his son.
But as Xi Ting ate, he totally forgot about his son and continued relishing the food.
The little guy's expectant eyes soon tuned into pitiful ones seeing the cute fairy rice cakes going into his father's stomach.
When Xi Ting noticed his son, he stopped eating and offered, "Xiaobao, do you want it?"
The little guy nodded repeatedly. Xi Ting chuckled and forwarded the plate towards the little bun.
When he saw his father offering food, the little guy pulled out a new pair of chopsticks from his back.
Both father and son ate happily. Qin Yan looked at the scene from the slightly opened door and a warm smile appeared on her face. Not wanting to disturb the scene, she left the condo quietly.

In the afternoon, Qin Yan went to People's hospital to administer accupuncture to Su Chong.
His recovery was excellent as he now understood many things. Still there was time for him to recover completely.
The second stage of treatment had begun and Qin Yan had to administer accupuncture only three times a week. The herbs had also changed and the frequency of their intake was reducing.
After the treatment, Qin Yan disinfected the needles before packing them properly. She then left the ward and prepared to return home.
As she walked down the corridor, Qin Yan's eyes noticed a figure lingering near reception.
Qin Yan walked towards him and patted his back to gain his attention.
"Big boss, why are you...why are you here?" Han Jun asked in shock.
"I had some work here. But what are you doing here?" Qin Yan asked him back.
Hearing Qin Yan's question, Han Jun's eyes dimmed. He said truthfully, "My grandfather is here."
"What happened?" Qin Yan asked worriedly.
Han Jun's eyes turned red thinking about his grandfather, "He has been sick for a long time and a couple of days ago, the doctor said that he has few days to live." Han Jun's tears fell from his eyes.
Qin Yan patted him on his back, "Don't worry, everyone has to leave. This is the law of nature."
Han Jun sobbed, "Big boss, I have been close to my grandfather since I was young. He matters to me even more than my father. My mother died early and my grandfather has brought me up. I don't want to lose him. I really don't." Han Jun cried pitifully.
Qin Yan tried to console him but she couldn't. Eventually she said, "Han Jun, bring me to your grandfather. Let's see if anything can be done."
Han Jun heard Qin Yan's words and unknowingly a ray of hope ignited in his heart, 'Yes, big boss is so mighty. Maybe she has a solution to this as well.'
Han Jun's trust in Qin Yan was indefinite. He said excitedly, "Big boss, can you find a solution?"
Qin Yan sighed looking at Han Jun's excitement, "Bring me to him first, then we can talk."
"Okay, let's go." Han Jun brought Qin Yan to his grandfather's ward.
Qin Yan glanced at the top floor and sighed again. 'It seems that I am destined to the top floor of the hospitals.'
She glanced at Han Jun but didn't say anything. 'This is not the time to ask questions,' she thought.
As they reached the VIP deluxe room, a sad vibe filled the air.
Han Jun opened the door and gestured Qin Yan to step inside. The bodyguards outside didn't stop her after seeing Young Master Han accompanying her.
As Qin Yan stepped inside, she saw a middle-aged man sitting beside the hospital bed. Han Jun's face resembled him so Qin Yan deduced that he must be his father.
On the other side, a woman was cutting some fruits and placing them in a bowl. The woman had maintained her figure and her looks but the wrinkles near her eyes gave away her real age.
She then glanced at the old man lying on the hospital bed. Qin Yan did not check his pulse, but judging by his bluish lips and the way he coughed intermittently, she could roughly guess that he had uremia.
Uremia was not an independent disease, but a clinical syndrome shared by various advanced kidney diseases.
As it advanced further into the later stages, it became more painful.
Hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and kidney transplantation. These were the only three options.
But at Elder Han's age, getting a kidney transplant was much too risky.
Besides, Qin Yan was unaware of whether he had already done one in the past.
If he had already done one and his condition was still worsening, then it was a difficult situation to deal with.
The three people in the room turned to look at Han Jun when they saw a beautiful girl accompanying him.
"Jun'er, who is this?" his father asked.
"Father she is my friend. She is here to meet grandfather," Han Jun replied.
"Jun'er, what are you doing fooling around at this time? How can you bring any random person in your grandfather's ward? Don't you know his situation?" the lady berated Han Jun.
Han Jun ignored the lady and brought Qin Yan near his grandfather. Although Mr. Han didn't agree with Han Jun's actions, he knew how much his son valued his grandfather. So there was must be some reason why he brought her here.
Seeing Han Jun ignoring the lady, Qin Yan did the same. She greeted Mr. Han and then smiled at Elder Han.0
Elder Han nodded weakly at the beautiful girl. He was quite happy that his grandson had brought a girl to visit him. 'Maybe she will become my granddaughter-in-law in future,' Elder Han thought.
His good thought disappeared when he heard his grandson, "Big boss, do you know anyone who can treat my grandfather?"
Qin Yan ignored Han Jun and turned to the nurse standing at the side, "Sister, can I see what medicine the elder have been taking?"
"Huh?" the nurse said with interest, "Are you studying medicine?"
Qin Yan nodded and shook her head at the same time. "I know a little, but I also studied Traditional Chinese Medicine."
She could not say that she knew everything as it was hard to explain, so she gave a vague answer.
"Traditional Chinese Medicine…?"
The nurse's eyes darted, "Then I guess that even if I give you the medicine, you won't be able to determine their uses. After all, Western Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine are different."
