Even though Xu Lei was an A-list actor before, there was no guarantee that she could return to her previous position now. Countless rumours were circulating about her condition. Nobody knew the real condition Xu Lei was in.

The Xu parents and Xu Dong had protected Xu Lei from the outside world too well. So, now there was no guarantee that she could return to her prime.

But Qin Yan was offering her the pay of an A-lister. Why? Why would she risk it?

This question was finally worded out by Xu Lei herself, "Miss, although I was an A-list actor before, there is no guarantee that I can return to my prime even if my legs get healed. Then why are you taking such a big risk?"

Qin Yan gazed into Xu Lei's curious eyes and replied, "Miss Xu, I have seen your acting and your talent. Rather than trusting you, I trust myself more. My prediction never goes wrong. Once you get healed, you will revert back to your peak at a double pace. I don't lose anything here. In fact, by making you sign a ten year contract, I am gaining too much."

"Moreover, you don't have to worry about anything else. You just have to focus on recuperating and then on working hard. Opportunities will be provided by the company. Am I clear now?" Qin Yan asked.

The Xu family looked at each other and saw happiness in each other's eyes. They found it hard to believe that such good things could happen to them after such a bad time.

Xu Dong raised his head and looked at Qin Yan, "In that case miss, we agree to your offer. If you don't mind, can I ask you another question?"

"Go ahead," Qin Yan approved.

"Are you really confident that you can cure Xu Lei's legs?"

Honestly, Qin Yan wasn't sure either but she knew giving it a try was better than giving up. If she would have performed the surgery then she could say with confidence that it would be successful. But she wasn't that sure about Lu Che.

"If I say I am 80 percent confident, would you allow me to arrange the surgery?" Qin Yan asked the Xu family members.

'Even the best doctor abroad whom they could contact said that he was 60 percent confident, just how capable is this lady to say that she is 80 percent confident? If she's telling the truth, why not give her a chance? Perhaps she can really perform a miracle.'

The Xu family members were astonished at Qin Yan's words.

Xu Dong took a deep breath and asked Qin Yan another question that was puzzling his mind, "Miss, may I know who will perform the surgery for my sister for you to be so confident? You must have a doctor right?"

Mother Xu came to her senses after Xu Dong asked this question. Afraid that Qin Yan would find them troublesome, she hurriedly interrupted, "Miss, please don't mind my son's questions. We are just concerned about our daughter so we want to make everything sure, just for our peace of mind."

Qin Yan understood where Mother Xu was coming from, "Mrs. Xu, don't worry. I understand. You are placing your daughter in my hands and this is a very important turning point for her. I don't mind. It's natural for you to have these doubts."

She then looked at Xu Dong and replied, "It would most probably be Doctor Lu Che."

The Xu family sucked in a deep breath. Doctor Lu Che! The doctor they couldn't contact no matter how hard they tried! If this lady can convince Doctor Lu Che to perform the surgery for Xu Lei, there wouldn't be any problem. After all, Doctor Lu Che was the topmost doctor of the country.

Father Xu's heart trembled with excitement, "Miss, is what you are saying true? Can doctor Lu Che operate on my daughter?"

Qin Yan nodded affirmatively at Father Xu's question.

Xu Dong and Xu Lei were totally dumbfounded. How could everything be so good! How did the situation turn out like this? Who is this lady that she can get Doctor Lu Che to operate on Xu Lei! How powerful is she!

All sorts of questions lingered in their minds along with immense excitement and happiness.

The Xu family stopped asking questions from then and trusted Qin Yan fully. Mother Xu offered many delicacies to Qin Yan.

The latter ate some and refused many. After dinner, Qin Yan told the Xu family, "The surgery would most probably be in the next week. Till then, I will send the diet chart and the precautions that you have to take to get prepared for the surgery. I hope you adjust your mind and health positively," she told Xu Lei.

Xu Lei nodded at Qin Yan, "Don't worry, I will not disappoint you."

Qin Yan then bade goodbye to the Xu family.

Xu Dong hugged his sister and assured her, "Lei Lei, everything will be fine from now on. Our bad days have passed and light has finally entered in our lives."

Father Xu and Mother Xu also hugged their children and spoke positively. Every person in the Xu family was filled with hope and anticipation. The gloom surrounding the family had shrouded back.

The next day was a holiday. Qin Yan had planned to sleep in today but her biological clock woke her up. She still lazed around in the bed not wanting to get up. She thought of what she would do in the whole day and then decided to spend the whole day lazing around.

The college entrance exam was around the corner and she would have to focus on her studies after a few days. Some things were pending but she didn't have any mood to complete them that day.

Just as she was rolling around in the bed, her message tone rang out. She picked up her phone from the side table and browsed its contents to see that it was a message from Xi Ting.

The little guy was here.

Seeing the message, she sprinted towards the washroom as if all her laziness had vanished in an instant. She had forgotten that it was the weekend and the little bun would come to visit his father.

Now that she knew, she was filled with excitement. Also now that Xi Ting and her relationship had progressed, she would not face any obstacle in spending time with the little one.

She freshened up and dressed up casually. She then went out of her condo locking it and saw that the door of the condo opposite was open.

Qin Yan rushed inside hurriedly and saw the little guy sitting by the dining table, eating his breakfast.

The little guy was sitting on a stool and eating his breakfast mechanically. Xi Ting was nowhere to be seen.

This child was so well-behaved that one's heart could melt…

Qin Yan greeted the child enthusiastically, "Darling!"

The little guy looked towards the sweet voice that sounded in his ears and saw his favourite person's beautiful face, "Sister Yan!" he ran towards Qin Yan and hugged her leg.

Qin Yan picked the little bun up in her arms and kissed him on his cheek. The little bun's face turned red as he blushed furiously.

"You are so adorable, darling. Come let's finish the breakfast," Qin Yan then placed the child back on his seat.

The little bun nodded and started eating again.

Qin Yan glanced at him and asked gently, "Darling, is the food okay for you?"

The little fella placed his chopsticks down and waited till he was done chewing his food before he answered: "Okay."

"Oh right, Darling. I'll go get you some fruit!"

Qin Yan hurriedly walked to the kitchen. She saw apples and pears in the refrigerator.

Qin Yan then picked up the apple and a knife then returned to the dining table.

"Darling, sister will peel the apple for you, ah!"

Qin Yan then slowly peeled the apple into little bunnies based on her memory of what she once saw online. Then she arranged them nicely on a white porcelain plate.

The little bunnies were all gathered together and it looked very delightful and cute.

"Baby, have some fruit!"

Xi Xiaobao looked at the bunny-shaped fruit and had a confused look on his face. "Sister Yan, I'm not a two or three-year-old kid."

Qin Yan: "…"

Uh… so a five-year-old isn't considered a kid, huh…

"Oh, Baby, you don't like it?" Qin Yan seemed a little disappointed.

The little guy: "It's just not necessary."

"Oh…" Qin Yan was so dejected that her head nearly drooped.

Seeing how disappointed his Sister Yan was, the little bun's expression turned solemn.2

After some time, the little fella pursed his lips then extended his tiny arm. He placed it on Qin Yan's head and rubbed it gently, "Sister did really well."

"Really?" Qin Yan's head immediately rose like a sunflower.

Xiaobao picked up a little bunny. "En, I like it very much."

It was like the sky had cleared after a storm. "That's great, eat more then! Fruit is great for your body!"

Seeing as Qin Yan was energetic once again, the little fella subtly heaved a sigh of relief. "En."
