"Sir, may I ask what's the matter?" Putting down his chopsticks, Qin Yicheng took two steps forward and asked, a gentle smile still on his face.

Tong Chunian's expression was cold, and his usual indifferent aura had completely disappeared. He swept his eyes across the entire dining table and fixed his eyes on Lu Yaran, "Take her away!"

He didn't bother beating about the bush and directly turned his head.

A group of bodyguards stepped forward and took hold of Lu Yaran, who was still in a daze.

At the dining table, Qin Yicheng and Qin Muran were shocked. They stood up immediately. Qin Yicheng's expression changed drastically at this scene. "What crime has my wife committed? What you're doing is illegal!"

No matter how bitchy Lu Yaran was, she was still his wife and the mistress of Qin family, so how could he just let her be taken away like this?

How could Qin Yicheng not ask anything? It was his wife who was taken away, not anybody else.

He chased after them only to see the back of Tong Chunian's car.

He pressed his head, seeing stars. Who on earth had Lu Yaran provoked?

"Dad, what's going on?" Qin Muran also chased after him.

Qin Yicheng shook his head, not knowing anything.

In the hospital.

Qin Yan had to stay in the hospital for observation for another day and would be discharged tomorrow afternoon.

In the ward, Qiao Qing and Xing Ningjing were afraid that Qin Yan would let her imagination run wild, so they had stayed behind.

As they were chatting between themselves, they saw the door of the ward open and Qin Mufeng stepped in.

"Yan Yan, how are you? Where are you hurt?" he asked with concern.

Qin Yan looked at her brother's face full of worry and felt a warmth in her heart. She didn't expect anybody else to come but she still asked, "It's just you?"

Qin Mufeng pursed his lips. At the thought of his parents's attitude at the dining table, he was unable to find words to reply to his sister.

If Qin Muran had been the one injured, both of them would have already rushed over, right?

At his silence, Qin Yan could also guess the situation. Her eyes were full of ridicule as she said smilingly, "It's okay. I only wanted to see you and nobody else."

Qin Yicheng failed to find out anything throughout the whole afternoon.

He had called Liu Dui to find out about Lu Yaran but to no avail.

There wasn't the tiniest bit of fluctuation on the entire surface of S city, so Qin Yicheng was in a bundle of nerves.

It wasn't until the next day, on the morning that he got a call from his secretary, "Sir, our company is being targeted."

Qin Yicheng's expression changed greatly. "How is that possible? What happened?"

After Liu Dui's words yesterday, he already felt like things weren't as simple. He was on tenterhooks and hadn't slept well at night.

"Sir we have lost countless clients from yesterday. At first, I didn't think of anything as it was just one or two people. But one after another, we got calls from different clients for cancellation of contracts," his secretary explained the situation to Qin Yicheng.

Hearing the report from his secretary, Qin Yicheng's face turned as dark as ink. What the hell was happening! Who had Lu Yaran offended?

Qin Yicheng thought about it and gave one of his friends a call.

"Old Qin," The other party addressed him familiarly once he saw that it was Qin Yicheng's number. "I was just about to look for you. Did you offend someone?"

"You know about it too?" Qin Yicheng was shocked.

"Aye, everyone on the web is going crazy over this. Within our circle, there's probably no one who doesn't know about this now," the other person said.

"Old Gu," Qin Yicheng said. "My wife was taken away by some people all of a sudden. There was no sign of it happening at all before, but I feel like there's something amiss. I don't know who she has offended but soon after she was taken away, the attacks on our company started one after another. Even after asking many people, I didn't get any information. Can you help me ask around?"

Old Gu thought about it and said, "Cheng, let me help you get some info about this."

"Alright. Thanks a lot."

After ending the call, Qin Yicheng contacted the General Manger urgently. "Gather everyone. We're having a meeting!"

Qin Yicheng rushed to the company to come up with a response plan with the top-level management in the company.

It was not about resolving the matter anymore. The top priority was to tide over the situation at hand first before discussing the next step.

Qin Yicheng started a video conference with the top management of the company, as well as the managers in the various locales.

Based on the reports earlier, the impact could still not be felt fully.

However, this time, the managers from various locales live-streamed the emptiness of the malls for them.

More than half of the restaurants, fashion shops, and accessory shops were closed. Only the makeup counters were open, but not a single soul was around.

"We have already contacted the managers of the different companies. Hopefully, they can reopen. However, no matter what kind of terms we offered, they simply refused us and they wanted to pull out completely from the mall, ceasing to work with us anymore," one of the local managers said.

Qin Yicheng cursed Lu Yaran in his heart. This woman turned out to be his nemesis.

"Quickly, contact all the businesses that can sign on with us. See whoever we can contact. No matter how big or small the brand is, just let them come on board first. Change the shopfront as fast as possible," Qin Yicheng said.

"We already contacted them, but…" one of the managers said timidly.

"But what? Stop stuttering!" Qin Yicheng said impatiently.

"No one dared to come to an agreement. I don't know who we have offended. Within such a short time, they actually managed to contact all our possible business contacts first," said the manager, "This happened so suddenly, so we activated our emergency plan and split into two groups immediately. One group would contact the businesses that suddenly pulled out while the other would contact all other businesses that can come in as replacements. It was a two-pronged approach to handle the situation."

"But in the end, the businesses that pulled out refused to come back. The other party actually managed to calculate our every step within such a short period of time. They even predicted that we would approach our emergency business partners and notified them beforehand first." That manager paused for a moment in despondence.

"What about the supermarkets?" Qin Yicheng asked.

"All the supermarkets we worked with had backed out. They are not coming back." Not surprisingly for Qin Yicheng, the answer was the same.

"What about our own family's supermarket?"

"For our own supermarket, our Purchasing Department is already contacting other supply channels. It's just that our supply channels have all been selected after careful comparison of the quality to the prices, and this process of selection took a long time before it was completed. However, Qin Yicheng was so frenzied and unsettled that he could not even tell that his own phone was ringing.

He bellowed, "We're already in this state, who's the one who didn't even turn off his phone for the meeting?!"

Everyone stared at each other dumbstruck.
