Han Jun sat on the sofa in the ward, playing games, and ignoring Qin Muran and Qin Yicheng.

Qiao Qing had come in the morning again and was present in the ward. She gave chairs for the three people to sit on. She also poured a cup of tea for each of them politely.

Qin Yicheng sat down and took a sip from the teacup. He pursed his lips and hesitated for a moment before saying, "Yan Yan, did the doctor say how long your hand will take to recover?"

"Half a month to a month." Qin Yan sat down on the other side of the table and casually clasped her fingers on it.

Then she really couldn't take the college entrance examination. Pressing his eyebrows, Qin Yicheng put down the teacup and stood up. He bowed in front of Qin Yan. "Yan Yan, I have only just found out about your mother. I… feel very ashamed as well. Although I'm aware that what she did wasn't right, I still hope you can forgive her this time. She is your mother after all. She has raised you for so long, and mistakes are bound to happen. She is also a human being. Can you please forgive her?"

Qin Yan leaned back on her chair and listened on. She supported her chin with her uninjured right hand and smiled casually, not in the least bit surprised.

She had already guessed as such. Why would her so called father care about whether her hand was injured before the college entrance examination?

After seeing her smile and looking less sharp than before, Qin Yicheng breathed a sigh of relief.

Qin Yan held her chin with one hand and said with an indifferent expression, "And?"

"This can be sort out between our family. There is no need to air our dirty laundry outside. Don't worry, I will make sure to punish your mother. But as a mistress of Qin family if she lands up in prison, our reputation will be gone. You also will be affected by this," Qin Yicheng concluded.

Qin Mufeng did not say a single word. Today when he found out about this matter, he was deeply shocked. He found it hard to believe that his gentle looking mother could do something horrific like this. He also found out that the Qin family's company was under attack. This was most probably done by Qin Yan or someone supporting her. But he did not blame her. Nor did he ask her to stop the attack on the company or to forgive their mother. He simply found it going against his conscience to do such things. He just stood there silently.

But the other person who came here with Qin Yicheng did not want to waste this opportunity to berate Qin Yan. 

"Sister, I know you have been wronged. You can appear for college entrance exam next year, but we have only one mother. How can you bear to send her to prison! What about our family then? You cannot be so selfish! Sister, think carefully. What you are doing is wrong. Also what would the person behind you think about you when he knows that you are so ruthless towards your own mother? Please let's settle this.." Qin Muran put forward her thoughts indirectly pinning all the blame on Qin Yan and tarnishing her image saying that she had a backer who was rich enough to target the Qin family.

Before she could finish speaking, Han Jun, who had been playing games on the sofa, couldn't suppress his anger anymore. He smashed his phone suddenly and exploded. "Then have you thought about what would happen to our young Qin Yan if she can't take the college entrance exam? Have you ever thought about whether there will be any residual effects on her hand?! I thought you really found your conscience and came to see her, but it seems like I've overestimated you! You really think we're so easy to bully and nobody is covering for us?! Thank God Qin Yan moved out from your house. Otherwise, we won't know how badly she would be bullied! You've come to beg us to forgive Mrs. Qin? In your dreams!"

"You, come in and get rid of these two!" Han Jun sneered and opened his mouth to order his bodyguard.

Tong Chunian had been standing at the side and heard everything. He directly walked to Qin Yicheng and Qin Muran.

At this moment, he stared at father-daughter duo very coldly.

At the same time, two people in black came to drag Qin Muran out!

Their movements were simple and rude.

Qin Muran didn't expect Qin Yan to stay silent, so she looked at her incredulously. She didn't expect Qin Yan to allow others to treat her like that either. "Sister, how could you…"

Qin Yan reached out for the glass of water that Qiao Qing handed her. She smiled widely and turned to Qin Yicheng, "Mr. Qin, it sounds like you've found the wrong person."

She was clearly smiling, but her tone was as unruly as always, and the bottom of her eyes was boundlessly dark.

Qin Yicheng felt a shiver run down his spine at this moment. From last few months, he had already felt like Qin Yan was a little different, but today, his perception was even clearer.

Towards strangers… Qin Yan also used this kind of perfunctory and unruly attitude.

Qin Yicheng suddenly felt intensely uneasy.

Something seemed so far from him.

Qin Muran was thrown into the elevator by the bodyguards. She got up in embarrassment and was fuming inside.

Qin Yicheng wasn't thrown out with her. He looked at Qin Yan and sighed, "Yan Yan, can we come to an agreement?"

"Let's hear what you want to say," Qin Yan glanced at the silent Qin Mufeng and nodded at Qin Yicheng.

"Forget about your mother, but can you ask the person helping you to stop targeting the company? I have built it by my own sweat and blood and your brother's future depends on the company. You might be angry with three of us and that is justified, but your brother has always loved you dearly. Even if it is for him, can you spare the company? I beg you," Qin Yicheng finally lowered his stand and tried to console Qin Yan. 

This time he did not argue or scold his daughter. He knew what to say and when to say. He glanced at Han Jun and Tong Chunian and knew that they were extraordinary people helping Qin Yan. Not wanting to offend any of them, he lowered his head before begging Qin Yan.

Qin Yan turned to Qin Mufeng and asked him, "Brother, do you want to say anything?"

Qin Mufeng gazed at his little sister and felt a pang of guilt in his heart. She was already in this state and instead of caring for her, their family was just arguing and berating her. 

He shook his head and replied, "We are your criminals. Whatever punishment you want to give, I agree to it."

Qin Yicheng's face turned black hearing his son's words. Only he could convince Qin Yan but he was not trying even a little bit. He tried to signal Qin Mufeng to stop speaking nonsense but the latter ignored him which made him furious.

Qin Yan looked at her brother for a while and then turned to Tong Chunian, "Stop the attack on Qin Corporation."

Tong Chunian understood where Qin Yan was coming from but felt that she was being too lenient on these people. However, he was not in the position to say anything and thus he nodded at Qin Yan and walked out of the ward to speak with Xi Ting.

Qin Yicheng was overjoyed by this news. He thanked Qin Yan profusely and then asked her, "Yan Yan, how are you now? Where are you staying? Why don't you move back? You can bring your friends too," he looked at Han Jun and again turned to Qin Yan, "Isn't it more comfortable to stay at home? Also you will get taken care of properly."

Qin Yan looked at her so-called father expressionlessly and knew what he was thinking about. She replied coldly, "I don't want to be in contact with anyone of Qin family other than my brother. So, Mr. Qin, please refrain from contacting me further," she glanced at Han Jun and said, "Please see the guest out."

"Yan Yan.." Before Qin Yicheng could say anything else, Qin Mufeng interrupted him, "Dad, please leave."

Qin Yicheng turned around disappointedly and walked out of the ward and stepped in the elevator.

His phone rang when he stepped out of the elevator. It was Lu Yaran again.

He stared at his phone for a long time before picking up.

"How is it?" Lu Yaran sounded very nervous.

Qin Yicheng didn't speak.

Lu Yaran seemed to have guessed such a result. She finally lost her remaining composure and screamed at her husband, "Qin Yicheng, I don't know anything. Get me out of here at any cost. I am the mother of your children. How can you bear to leave me in this state?"
