College entrance exam
Qin Yicheng sighed. He didn't want to argue with Lu Yaran anymore so he said, "You brought this on yourself," before hanging up the call.
He had already known in his heart that saving Lu Yaran was difficult.
"Dad, what did sister say? Did she agree on releasing mother? How can sister be so selfish?" Qin Muran's voice sounded in his ears which made Qin Yicheng look up when he saw Qin Muran standing in front of him.
He was angry with his younger daughter but did not have any strength to deal with her. He shook his head and refused to answer Qin Muran's questions.
Qin Muran also understood that her father was in a foul mood and thus did not press further.
The duo then left the hospital in silence. The Qin family's chauffeur saw their expressions and dared not ask anything. He drove the car back silently.
On the way, Qin Yicheng was still very uneasy. After returning home, he didn't go upstairs and just put his bag on the table before asking Qin Muran for a glass of cold water.
The cold water made him return to his senses and helped him calm down.
"Muran, the college entrance examination is tomorrow. Are you ready for it?" Qin Yicheng finally spoke to his daughter.
"Yes, it shouldn't be a problem." Qin Muran smiled.
Qin Yicheng finally smiled and slowly heaved a sigh of relief.

The next day.
It was the first day of the college entrance examination.
Qin Yan got up very early in the condominium. She was now living in Xi Ting's condo as it was inconvenient for her to do many things and handle herself alone.
Xi Ting looked at the girl in front of him and asked, "Why are you up so early? Why don't you sleep a little longer?"
"No." Qin Yan raised an eyebrow when she heard this. She walked slowly, "Today is the college entrance examination."
"Have you rested well?" Xi Ting asked her.
Qin Yan nodded and walked over to the dining table, where Xi Ting pulled out a chair for her to sit.
After finishing his breakfast, Xi Ting went to get her pencil case from the table. He put all the pens in, then leaned against the table to sharpen the pencils slowly. He turned to look at her. "Have you brought all your documents?"
"Yeah." Qin Yan ate the last bite of egg and took out her admission pass as well as her ID card.
Xi Ting took them and put them into the pencil case.
Both of them ensured everything was proper and then Xi Ting drove Qin Yan to Yun Cheng First Middle School for the exam.

Banners were drawn everywhere on the road in S city, and the tense atmosphere of the exam was very strong.
This was especially so near the test site. A row of traffic policemen was on duty, and various vehicles even slowed down subconsciously when they passed by.
No one honked their car horn.
The usually noisy city was exceptionally quiet.
Qin Yan and Xi Ting arrived an hour in advance. But even so, many people had already reached.
Yun Cheng First Middle School was the big test site. Xi Ting finally found a parking spot and stopped the car.
He didn't get off immediately.
The sun was shining brightly and the classroom didn't have air conditioning.
Raising his hand, Xi Ting glanced at the time on his watch. It was eight o'clock, an hour before the exam. He turned to look at Qin Yan. "Are you going in now, or waiting a little more?"
Qin Yan looked down at her phone and thought about it. "Han Jun and others are still outside, I'll go look for them."
Xi Ting nodded and got out of the car first before walking to the other side and opening Qin Yan's car door.
Standing at 1.8 meters tall, he stood out amongst the crowd.
At one glance, he saw Han Jun and the others standing by the school gate.
"They're over there." He reached out and buttoned the black peaked cap on her head, then led her to the school gate.
There were many people walking to and fro. Due to the college entrance examination, students and parents alike were a little anxious, but only Xi Ting walked unhurriedly.
He walked calmly, like ink flowing down a picture scroll, his eyebrows all the more outstanding under the gleaming sunlight.
Father Han was giving instructions to Han Jun when he saw them walking over out of the corner of her eye. He immediately paused and his expression evidently became more overcautious.
"Big boss, over here!" Han Jun waved vigorously at Qin Yan.

As the time for the exam approached, everyone stopped talking and let the candidates enter the exam room.
The college entrance examination was different from the general examination.
The invigilating system was very strict.
Each examinee had to go through a metal detector when entering the exam room. Qin Yan was in examination room 205 in Building A. When she reached, the door of the exam room was already open, and the invigilator was at the door with a detector in her hand.
Qin Yan passed the metal detector safely. There weren't many seats left in the exam room, and she didn't see anyone familiar.
The last two digits of her test number were 19. There was only one empty seat in the third row, so she walked over.
Behind her, a boy followed her in.
"Beep—" The alarm sounded.
The invigilator calmly took out a pair of scissors and asked the boy to remove the metal zipper on his pants.
The boy looked down at his pants and was speechless.
On the morning of the first day was the Chinese exam.
After getting the paper, Qin Yan glanced over it and estimated the difficulty of the test. It was very difficult, and most people would probably lose their minds after taking it.
It wasn't convenient to use her left hand, so she pressed the answer sheet with her pencil case and wrote slowly on the paper. Her right hand wasn't slow, but because she couldn't press the paper with her left hand, it wasn't particularly fast either.
It was really inconvenient to use one hand.
She finished writing her composition ten minutes before the bell rang.
No one in Qin Yan's examination room turned in the paper in advance.
If the Chinese exam in the morning already made people suffer a breakdown, then when they got the Mathematics paper in the afternoon, there was only a teacher's name in their mind—
Hou Delong.0
Immediately after, only one thought reverberated in their minds—
They were goners.
This year's Mathematic paper was exceptionally perverted. Some students ran out of the examination room crying before they even finished.
Waiting outside the gate holding a jar of sour plum soup, Xi Ting watched as the students came out from time to time and hugged their parents while crying.
He saw Qin Yan coming out of the school gate.
"How was it?" Xi Ting handed her the sour plum soup.
She took a sip and squinted while replying modestly, "It was okay."

The Mathematics paper on the first day was too abnormal.
Although the papers on the second day were also more difficult than usual, the candidates didn't suffer as bad a mental breakdown as yesterday. At least no one suffered from a heart attack and had to find an ambulance.
After the English test in the afternoon, the silent class four suddenly became active.
They were all typing madly in their group chat.
Jiang Yao: [We've been released @Boss. What shall we do?]
Zhen Kai: [Liven things up! No one from class four can pull a no-show tonight!]
Another classmate: [OJ, BK, where shall we meet?]
Xing Ningjing: [Wait a minute, I'll ask big boss.]
Everyone had finished the English test at almost the same time. But because of her inconvenient left hand, Qin Yan was very slow while filling the answer sheet. Furthermore, there were many multiple-choice questions in the English paper.
After she came out, Han Jun, Qiao Qing and Xing Ningjing followed her.
"Big boss, do you want to meet the others?" Xing Ningjing didn't dare to ask her how her exam was.
Without hesitating, she agreed.
Class four set up two KTVs with large rooms, and they waited downstairs for Han Jun, Qin Yan, and the others.
"Wait…" The class president was about to pat Qin Yan's shoulder. He wanted to not return without getting drunk tonight, but after looking down, he finally noticed that her left hand under her coat was plastered in a cast.
His expression changed. "Big boss, what happened to your left hand?!"
"It's fine." Qin Yan looked down and smiled casually. "I accidentally fractured my bone a few days ago."
Class four's chuckle died down at this sentence and they fell into a sea of silence.
Yun Cheng First Middle School's car accident had been blocked from the news.
Han Jun hadn't mentioned it to the other students in class four either. Since it was near the time of the exam, he didn't want the accident to affect their moods.
